Pets you just can't get rid ofFollow
Can't ditch stripes (Elder Night Saber). I tamed bellygrug (Bacon) but never use him. All I've heard is they've nerfed boars really bad. Was curious about ghost wolf or ghost saber. I know were ghost saber is. Were is ghost wolf. And my personal opinion. I think gorillas suck with soloing.

Aethien, I know that this is your forum, but I also know that neither you nor me are pee-vee-pee experts, so I wrote the above basing on the experience of my fellow pl-forum pvp-oriented hunters... Barrehunter and Avicularia (to lookup in the armory, both on EU servers) both state on the polish forums, that scorpid is now used only in some 5v5 setups, as for all the others a pet with dash is necessary, and the pet of choice is either a cat for elves (prowl+shadowmeld, to FF on your teammate) or ravager, just because gore > claw...

Well, I have a Lvl 32 hunter, and the first pet I got for her I can't get rid of. Dragonkiller http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/html/mobs/mob_crazeddragonhawk.php
Another one that I have gone out of my way to get was Stripes http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/html/mobs/mob_durotartiger.php
I have a Molted Worg http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/html/mobs/mob_mottledworg.php that I don't use to often. I actually don't think I've used him since I got him to lvl 20.... So I might have to cut him free so that way I can look at getting either a wind serpent or a scorpid.

my first pet was a bear, until I got my monkey at level 40, gonso is great and I would never give him up but there are times I miss that bear.

The first pet that I ever had was a level 12 or so Savannah Huntress from the Barrens. Normally I have no affection for most barren creatures, but I loved the name I gave that pet. To this day I like that name better then the one I gave to my current pet. If you want to be dettatched from your pet, best bet is to never name it. Once you do, you won't be able to get rid of it. I guess this really only applies to people who honestly own pets and love them in real life though. If you're heartless and hate dogs/cats then its no wonder you have no problem ditching your in-game pets so quickly.
im stuck because I have a wind serpent (Smerphette) for DPS, the ghost rofl (Grim), and a
dragonhawk (sparxiano) that some very special friends help me get. Cant get rid of any of
the 3 so unless we get some more stable slots thats it for me till I quit.

No pet can match the Ghost Rofl's deepz.
Look at this, then tell me that there will be higher leveled, same skinned cats with the next tier of skills.

Oh my Gnkstacrizab. How I love thee. I was mid 50s when I fell in love with crab pets. Before that I had my black panther named Rainbowcloud. Then my pink scorpid, Bubblegum. Along came a pretty yellow boar, Sunshine, to steal my heart. Sunshine and I stayed together for a long time. Then, late-night on Petopia, I came across the most magnificient pet I had ever seen (Please don't tell Sunshine. She thinks her and I are just taking a break). The level 33ish rare spawn, Crusty, in Desolace(I believe).
Man, what a beautiful red crab. I went out, braved the rough waters. Plunged down into the ocean's depths. Then, with a magnificient splash (and 1 corpse run) I emerged from the murky tide with a brand-new friend! After inquiring with my sister (Which I have with naming all my pets :D) I named him GnkstaCrizab. Which so happens to fit my name perfectly. Gankymcdudle. Well, its pretty easy to tell who I'll be with forever now. I'll be raiding, 5-manning, and soloing with the lil guy. Losing out on dps? Sure. But on things we need the big guns I'll just bring my shaman. So, really, I don't care about hate whispers when I'm in groups telling me I'm dumb for having a crab pet. (Which everyone except other hunters seem to love him <3) I play what I like. And what I like, is my crabby lil buddy. Its safe to say that even though Rainbowcloud is running free, and someday Bubblegum and Sunshine may be out there, too. GnkstaCrizab will never leave me. :)

I got Humar the Pridelord at 23 and took him all the way to 70...and I still use him to this day. I'll probably never get rid of that cat because he looks freaking awesome.

Maybe a caster pet, but still a decent pet. Though I like my Cat the most.
My first pet was Pinchy the elite scorpid from Durotar. Took me about 45 secs to find and tame him.
He got to level 20 then was replaced by Tusk, my ghost saber who I searched for thru the wrong area for 3 hours because of my dyslexic retardism (scavenging all over Duskwood because you mistook it for Darkshore is beyond dumb my friends...)
Tusk took me to 60 before being stabled for my pvp and undead Boar out of the EPL, Homer.
At 70, ready to raid, I went out and got one of the color changing Ravagers and named him Mock, because its only one letter off from my huntard's name. And, no thats not my hunter's name you sick @#$%s. =P
