Ok, correct me if I am wrong. The armor set you can buy one piece from 5 different factions is called the "Stalker's Chain Battlegear" and is this:

Where did it come from, was that arena season 1 gear or simply PvP gear from BG's?
I think it was just PvP gear that then dropped to being able to simply buy once you hit honored. Then the season 1 gear became PvP gear that you could buy with BG honor and tokens.
Are my assumptions correct? If they are, then with season 4 about to start, are they going to take the season 1 gear and bump it down to being able to purchase once you hit honored and then take season 2 gear and let you get it with BG honor and tokens?

Your assumptions are not fully correct.
That gear was the first PvP gear you could buy for honor with the start of Burning Crusade.
It never had anything to do with arena gear.
Moving this gear from the honor vendor to the reputation vendor made it a lot easier to get a first few items for PvP (although a char with that set is in no way competitive to someone in S2 or S3 it at least makes the gear gap a little smaller).

It's basically just there so you can BG yourself some S1 gear without being instagibbed by the first enemy you see. PvE greenies garnered while leveling isn't really helpful...
I don't PvP, at all. I used to PvP all day, every day pre-BC then I kinda quit when they nixed the rank system, and then I got completely turned away from PvP when arena (which is boring as hell to me) became the mainstay of PvP. Due to that, I actually picked up this set as a starter PvP set, and also to have a set of gear that gives me more stam. I have since replaced 4/5 pieces with S1 just using T4 tokens no one wanted, but I did start off with this set.
ok, Its becoming more clear to me now thanks. Do you think they will lower the cost (tokens and/or honor) for the S1 gear or will it stay the same and S2 just costs more tokens/honor points?
I believe S2 will replace S1. I do not think S1 will still be available.
