I'm in a bit of a deciding period, i don't know if running heroic MagT is worth it go get

Is the overall challenge of heroic MagT worth the tunic, or is the hauberk good enough?

Go do a google search on "Cheeky's Spreadsheet" and see which one is better.
Since one of the pieces has haste rating on it, there are too many factors in deciding which one is better. Depends on spec, weapon speed, shot rotation, and even what kind of gear you have now.
If you can get a really good group for Heroic MgT, then run it. Heroic has a chance to drop either one. They're really so close that you should just take whatever you can get, and use it until you can get the badge chestpiece.

After looking into Cheeky's spread sheet, i've seen they are SO CLOSE to each other, the only breaking point for me is my lack of hit rating and the gem spots on the Hauberk.
With 2x +8 hit and an 8 agi gem the hauberk gets some pretty sexy stats, especially if you can use the haste.

I had both. At zero haste, the Hauberk was better. At 64 haste (not including that from the Hauberk), the Tunic was better by about 1 DPS. I'd say it's not worth running H Mgt just for the Tunic, but ultimately take a look at Cheeky's and check for your gear/spec.

Really? Oh. I guess I just assumed that it dropped in both, because the heroic version of all the other level 70 instances (Slabs, Arc, Shattered Halls), share a loot table, but the heroic version adds to it. Also, AtlasLoot shoes that they share a table. WoWWiki shows it doesn't. I'll trust you and WoWWiki, though.
