So my cousin and I decided to make new characters on WoW the other day and we decided to roll a Warrior/Paladin... My cousin is a Healadin and I'm the warrior but our issue is that we can't decide what to make the warrior's talents... So the real question is what kind of warrior complements a Healadin or what would be the best pally spec to work with a warrior on leveling in a PVE realm

In terms of leveling I would say Arms if there is a healer behind a fury warrior it will probably go smoothly as well. The pally can probably go Ret to help things as well and just keep Blessing of Wisdom up on himself and heal when necessary. Straight holy isn't necessary for leveling.

Sounds like you should check the warrior forums as well for spec advice on the warrior, but i have a 48 warrior alt so ill share what i know.

You cant go wrong with getting 2 1 handers and going down the Fury tree. But personally I enjoyed a 2 handed fury build starting at 31 focusing on improved slam. You dont have to be perfect at a slam rotation, and to me personally, i think warriors should carry huge 2 handers (leave the small weapons for the rogues) and smash faces with big yellow numbers. That has no bearing on 1 handers not being effective, i just like big numbers=P

I leveled my Paladin with my brother's warrior as well. He was Arms all the way until level 68 I think and I played a bastardized Prot/Holy spec wielding a 2-hander wpn (just don't ask). We didn't have any trouble duo-ing most quests. We would both stand toe to toe with the mobs and beat the bejesus out of them. If needed I would fall back and throw a few heals. For the occassional elites we came across during questing I would throw on a healing set and he would put on a shield. It worked pretty well and we duo'd a ton of yellow-orange quests designed for 3-5 people.

The real fun started when we respecced into more or less cookie cutter builds. Me as a Healadin and him as Protection. We may not kill as fast as we used too, but our survivability is insanely high. Long fights are our specialty and it isn't uncommon for elite boss fights to stretch to 10-20 mins. The best part is instance runs with this pair. Since we already have a healer and a tank we just grab 3 dps of our choice and away we go. So much easier than waiting for an hour or more to get a group together and we can pick and choose the dps so that people don't have to compete for gear drops.

So to summarize my humble opinion:
Levels 1-65ish: Play whatever spec's you like. You will be able to tank/heal/or even dps anything just by changing a couple pieces of gear.
Levels 65-70: Spec and gear up as a Healer and a tank since it gets a little tough to off-spec these roles in instances.
