Comment on SlimesFollow

So I was messing around in Maraudon the other day. As an aside that instance sucks the marrow out of plaguelands compost heaps.

Inside of Maraudon are several slimes. Our group had never seen them before and there really is not any description on wowhead about them.

Well the idea is this: they don't take much damage from physical but they deal a TON of damage.

So how do you kill them?

They move really slowly, so if you drop a Searing Totem, and hit them with a Flame Shock, you can run outside of their range and just keep damaging them slowly.

I bring this up because Shaman is one of the better jobs to do this with. Our instant cast spells allow us to keep running, and our totems let us drop and have a source of continual damage.

Well I hope that this helped some low level shaman like myself.

That could work as well, however, they already move painfully slowly. I mean you go faster walking. The reason that I chose Searing Totem and Flame Shock is simply a matter of Mana usage. I am specced enhancement, so my lightning bolts don't do as much damage as they probably could.

Everyone knows the purple and orange sides of Maraudon lick huge sack...but Princess runs are pretty decent around the 45~52 ish levels. I have seen so many wipes on groups at those stupid slimes, people wailing away with physical attacks while getting their *** kicked, or people standing in the poison AOE and dying...I hate everything about Mara, 'cept Princess, she is hawt. :P
