I have yet to get my hunter to 70, but to all of you out there with 2 or more 70's including a hunter, are hunters just boring compared to your others?

Right now as I am leveling it seems kinda boring and I spiced it up a bit by leveling marksmanship...So is hunter just not for me, or what?

honestly... Leveling MM is absolutely no different than leveling BM. If you're bored now, don't expect it to change very much when you hit 70. 5-man dungeons are fun because they keep you on your toes. Raiding gets a bit boring. It's all send in pet > hunters mark > pew pew. Ocassionally, the tank will tell you to Misdirect pull something... But that's still not interesting.

To keep myself interested while leveling, i'll play a few different characters till their 30's (at least) and find out which one i'm most attached to.

I had a 70 hunter, then a warlock, druid, warrior, rogue, and shadow priest between the levels of 30 and 45... Thought that i'd enjoy the warrior tanking the most, but then found out my resto (or feral at times) druid was more to my liking. She's 67 and closing on 70 quickly!

If you find a class you like and still have trouble leveling, remember that everyone else does too. Maybe you're into fantasy or roleplaying, so read the quests and enjoy the lore... if that's you. Or just stick with BM, grind your *** to 58, and go to outlands. There's a LOT to do there and lots of people to do it with. I find Outlands truly enjoyable, so hopefully the new zones and quests help you too.

You may also find it more interesting to play with others by befriending someone your level and questing together, finding a leveling guild and helping/getting help, or running some instances on your way up to 70. Find out what you like and stick with it!

To more directly answer your question, no. I love my hunter in solo play (dailies or grinding mats), 5-mans with our "dynamic" (or "broken") CC, and owning the dps charts, and raids (discovering new content, learning new techniques, and teaching others), and i find hunter pvp to be the (second) most enjoyable pvp out of all my toons.

I hope you enjoy him as much as i do!

My hunter is my first character I'm taking to 70, and I plan on making a druid after that. Myself and my guildmates are making a 39 and 19 twink team for battlegrounds, it really helps to distract me when i get tired of leveling the hunter.

Personally I think other classes are boring compared to my hunter. But that's just me.

My Hunter is definitely one of the least boring classes I've ever played. The sheer amount of stuff you can alone is mindboggling. I hunted Devilsaurs at 53, kited the PvP questmob from that camp in Tirisfal Glades through an entire Horde controlled zone with four Hordes on my ***** spent hours hunting down one specific named mob using every skill available to me (Eagle Eye, Eyes of the Beast + Prowl and so on) and countless other stuff during my leveling.

Of course, you can go the repetitive route just like you can with any other class. Target, kill, loot, repeat. Every class in the game is repetitive if you look at it that way. The trick is to get creative no matter what class you play. My Paladin goes out of his way to find the biggest camps of mobs in the zone, just to see if he can solo all of them at once. My Mage spends her time juggling sheeps while slowing and kiting two to three other mobs while using AoE to kill them. My Druid? She spends her time trying to find the most varied group of mobs around so she can use all of her forms to her advantage in one single fight.

Then you can add World PvP to all of the above and suddenly you find yourself with a veritable cornucopia of possible avenues to explore.

Granted, Hunters can't completely change their job description by changing their specc like Paladins, Druids and Shamans, but it definitely makes a difference for your playstyle. Specc deep Surv one day and go play with some mobs. It's funny as hell. Then specc BM/MM and go machinegun your way to the top of any damage meter. Specc fully MM and go on a PvP rampage.

All classes are boring if you don't realize their full potential...

Do I get bored topping DPS charts in heroics up through Mag? Nope

Do I get bored with being able to do 20 dailys in under 2 hours? Nope

Do I get bored doing raids and standing there mashing a macro moving around only when I need to? Ehh sometimes.

Any class can get boring after a while though. I personally prefer my hunter in raids and instances over my tankadin or tree. So it is all a preference thing. But, give it a chance. No class, plays the same pre 70 vs. post 70. Everything really opens up for you once you get into major (gag) PvP or raiding.

Leveling as a hunter is rather boring though. Same thing over and over. Most classes are like that though. Find someone to level with, that always makes it more fun for me.

*edit* North said it best, Spice it up. the most fun I ever had as a hunter was when I was SV/MM and could trap three things at a time in instances, while sleeping/kiting a forth, and asking our mage what gave him the notion that hunters suck at CC.
