End Game, Enhancement? Follow

#1 Jun 09 2008 at 2:28 PM Rating: Decent
Hello all,

First I would just like to say first of all that most people posting here seem very freindly give good advice, thanks for that.

I was thinking about making a Shaman but I here and see that most 70 Shamans are Resto. I am not fan of doing major healing, maybe back up healing if we are in trouble or something, but i don't like to heal. My other class is a Mage and I love doing high DPS.

But I also like to meelee, but do not like to tank.

SO I was thinking can a Enhancement Shaman be usefull at end game to groups for DPS, resurecting, back up healing, and other specials it has?

I love groups and raids with an Enhance. The boost they are able to give physical attackers is unreal. We usually run one enhance in kara and we try to use 2 for 25 mans. However some heroics require more CC than others. An enhancement shammy provides the least cc viability of the other DPS classes. That may limit you in PUGS.

Dont let that dissuade you from playing the class if you like it. Just understand that you are a DPS/Utility class. Your greatest asset to a raid group is boosting the DPS of others, while melting faces.

It's pretty much the easiest "DPS" class.

Not that you'll be vying for top spots in raids, but you'll be putting out decent DPS.

Every raid should have at least 1 enhancement shaman.

I leveled enhancement, and am my guilds only enhancement shammy, we're 4/9 BT... We are heavy with rogues and hunters, I always get invites and grouped with 3 rogues and a arms warrior or they stick a hunter in if the arms are out. Your brought along for your totems, res is nice, I may heal myself if things are crazy, but if your enh and healing raid, there's a problem, in enh gear, you'll go oom quick. For dps, I'm usually behind our rogues unless one is having an off night, #8-10 overall with mages and locks at the top. Fairily easy to play, not sure about easiest, rotating shocks and twisting totems does take some effort till nurfed. But yea, realize your utility first, not just dps, and not many guilds run two enhancements in a 25 man so figure out if you'll have a spot if that matters to ya. I've got epic healdin and spriest and enjoy the shammy much more than the others, and they level fast, gl
