I was doing 2s with my disc priest partner yesterday in our 2nd week together. We're doing pretty good, but haven't really played together long enough to get that good synergy. Thankfully we're hovering around 1500 so we really aren't fighting any tremendously tough opponents.
We had managed to do about 20 matches our first week without fighting a single warrior/druid team, but our lucky streak ran out in our 6th match of our second week.
First match against war/druid I try to stay on the warrior and keep him off my priest via crippling and stuns, but I just can't burst through the druids healing on a plate wearer. The fight lasted almost 10 minutes as the warrior really didn't get a whole lot of DPS time on my healer and he was able to keep himself alive.
In Vent after the match I tell him if we fight any more war/druid teams I'm gonna get on the druid and stick to him like glue until he is dead while my priest teammate eats the warrior's DPS. I would also take any opportunity to get a crippling up on the warrior. My partner's immediate response is "You can't kill a resto druid!!!" Whatever, I said, I can't burst through a druid healing a warrior either so we may as well try something new.
Our next 3 matches were against war/druid teams, the 1st one against the same team that beat us the first time and the next 2 against a different war druid team. In none of the 3 matches did we outgear our opponents (I have about 293 resil and 1500 AP and my priest has even less AP and about 8200 unbuffed HP), but all 3 times I got on the druid and managed to kill him while my partner kept himself alive.
One of the matches our opponents even decided to put the warrior on me, which my partner was easily able to heal through.
So, my fellow ShS rogues, next time your arena partner tells you you can't kill a resto druid, just laugh at them and tell them about this scrub rogue you know who did it in 3 straight 2v2 matches.
