Im sure there have been countless threads on the subject, but could someone please point me in the right direction or give me some links. I'd like to know which is better for a pally or any class in general. Thanks.
Neither is better than the other "in general". It's all dependent on your spec and personal preference, and to some extent professions. For the most part you can just look at the shoulder enchants and choose the faction that has the 'chants you like best.
Don't forget the shattered sun necklace. The aldor one procs some nice avoidance, as the Scryer one sucks. I choose scryer for the enchants/gear..and only thing I still use from Scryer is the shoulder enchant, but I'd probably go Aldor if I could go back in time, that neck pwns :)
The shoulder enchants are the most useful part and Aldor are better for most. There are other considerations. The Aldor chest is v. nice for tanks and easy to get.

I don't know how it is for anyone else, but so far with 4 level 70s, I haven't actually hit a required reputation level for equipment until I had already acquired better through instances/quests.
I did forget about the SSO necks though, so that's a good point to bring up. Slipped my mind as those are new and many of us didn't have the luxury of choosing a rep to grind based off of those necks ;)

My pally went with Aldor before I even considered what the options were. I don't recommend doing this - look at the gear sold by the respective quartermasters, the shoulder enchants, weigh them up and then pick Aldor.
However, if you're considering purchasing the repeatable rep quest items off the AH, Scryers will tend to be cheaper right now. People are getting them in spades from the IoQD daily quests and there's little option but to hoard them for future characters or hawk them on the AH.

Personally, I was told by everyone on my server's trade chat to go aldor, guess it probably will depend on your main spec though
