Well had to post this because when it happened last night i was mad at myself for hours, but looking back on it today I can laugh.

Illidari council tank, also guild dps officer so watching everything going on around me and doing most of the vent calling.
About 8 minutes into fight i think it was (29% left) misclick invis instead of evocate when i see flamestrike cast start, and watching bars and the rest of fight didnt notice til too late to find the buff to cancel. Needless to say couldnt get threat back and caused a wipe. Very rare occurence for me but i guess it happens. After that i took ice block and invis totally out of bars and bindings for the next pull and we started our Illidan progression shortly after.

Anyone else wanna own up =).

edit due to ingame toon name change, so new armory address

Lol yes. In MH me and some guildies were taking down Arch and well anyways I was really immersed into what I was doing and everything and I had Blink macroed to 2, PoM to 1 and well I was up on the ridge looking down into the valley like thing and there was a mob say 35 ft to my right so I let go a fireball and was facing right at that moment pushed 2 flew at the mob but did not go exactly beside them they aggroed came to me I was say 15 ft from the priests after they killed me they took the priests then the warrior died from not being healed and it was pretty much a slaughterfest from then on lol.

Other than the original post the closest i had to that was 3-4 months ago, auto run in ssc when wife started talking to me, ran right into the next pull. Those are the only 2 things so far that i did to "stupid"wipe and i guess 4 nights a week and never miss a raid odds are its gonna happen on some rare occasions.

Funny you mention it. Last night on council i got caught up in other things at about 8 minutes in and forgot to spell steal dampen magic. Had to give a few appologies.

Telling our flame of azzinoth tank to move backwards... right into an eye beam cast... /sigh still stuck in phsae2.

That and a wonderful hour of IC wipes our first night of attempts because I just COULD NOT spellsteal without getting gibbed... then again I didn't have a BoP at the time.

ya i got hit a few times on pull unbopped, but i usually followed in an imp, and misdirects on rest so usually didnt use bop. That pally hits damn hard though. We just started illidan last night, about an hour of attempts and working out phase 2 kite routes also.

After this horrible screwup this week we got to Illidan and took him in 2 nights. T6 chest, 3/4 now(hopefully archi treats me good this week since almost all druids/rogues have helm). Makes me feel a little better. =)

On Zul'jin I was the last dps alive (he was on 6% or something), I get a pillar on me and manage in my panic to hit strafe on my mouse and keyboard, meaning that I didn't move at all. It was the last try of the night aswell.

Probably my biggest ***** up was on a maiden fight. I have all my main spells keybound to my mousewheel and had maiden targeted while we were getting into position....then my mouse fell to the floor...and cast fireball...... Well, at least my guild leader laughed his *** off over it..

Grats! In 2.5 hours of attempts last night we got past phase 2 (only on the first attempt...) I swear my guild's raiders have some of the worst connections in the history of wow.

We have a full night tonight though (as long as people don't puss out) and hopefully we will see the chest + zhar'doom + skuldan drop (lawl!)

I have never heard of anyone binding abilities to mouse wheel... how do you zoom in and out?

During a WSG, I was going to pick up the flag from a Hunter, and use the old switcheroo to confuse the opposition.

Unfortunately, I was not paying attention, walked up to the Hunter, and by some cruel mischance or twist of fate, miskeyed the Blink button: result, Hunter dies, and I get totally owned by a Rogue tandem who were lying in wait....

Perhaps not the most terrifying *****-up, but somewhat embarrassing...

Really? Lots of people have abilities tied to the mouse wheel. It's easy and convenient.

Changing zoom is not used very often, so it can be sent into the more "awkward" locations, or moved to a shift+mousewheel.

Yes, yes, I'll admit it.

In one of our guild's TK runs, I pulled Al'ar "just to see if I could".

Turns out, I can.

Almost all my misclicks at the start of a fight have been Blinking into aggro range.

Why, Blink, why?

There was actually a post in the rogue forums about the mechanics of motion and binding up to 9 keys to the mousewheel, up, down, and mouse click. and then a variation of shift+ and alt+ that i also use. I bound my camera zoom to my control+ mousewheel. It actually makes it look like i'm not doing anything when i'm playing, i just roll my mousewheel and use my left hand to move my directional keys :)

Blinking at random times is natural; every human being does it. I just did it twice in the past 5 seconds. LOL, ok nvm.
