Cudgel vs HammerFollow

The other day I was running with a few guildies through Heroic MgT and Cudgel of Consecration drops. Everyone in the group said to need it, so I did.

But I'm not sure how much of an upgrade it is over my previous mace, Lightsworn Hammer.

The Hammer has more +healing than the Cudgel (even with gem) and the +8 mp5. However, the Cudgel has significantly more +stam and +int.

With the +81 healing enchant on both of them, I end up with +1481 healing with the Cudgel and +1488 with the Hammer.

So, my question is which should I be using? Sacrifice the +healing and mp5 and go with the Cudgel, or stick with the Lightsworn Hammer?

My armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Nathrezim&n=Ribosome

I know my gear isn't great, but I'm going through Kara with my guild's alts so I'm hoping to upgrading soon (have 34 badges at the moment, going to get some bracers).

save it for when(if) you go prot.

its not a healing mace, maybe a decent solo mace though.

edit: also should have put +40 spell damage on it instead of healing.

Yea.. it's a tanking mace (for a Paladin, it has other uses for other classes) -- you can get better gear for healing without too much trouble. I'd stick a Solid Star/Sapphire in it and slap Major Spellpower on it and use it in a tanking set.

Coincidentally, it's one of the better pally tanking weapons. There are maybe 3 (though if you're only looking at maces 2) more before Sunwell, and one of them is barely an upgrade over the Cudgel. This is, of course, excluding the Season 2+ PvP maces... though those options do exist.

Keep the Lightsworn for healing until you get a better healing weapon.

Alright, I'll keep it in my bags anyway. I doubt I'll ever be tanking because I haven't been saving any gear (although it's not a bad time to start). In any case thanks for your help.
