My guild has finally started making attempts on Illidan. It's taken us almost 6 months of raiding but we've conquered every boss up to him, just barely beating the removal of the Hyjal/BT attune quests. I've put in countless hours as co-GM (along with what started as 6 others and is now 3 others) to get where we are now. We've recruited, kicked, coerced and motivated dozens of raiders and within the next week or so we'll be rewarded with one dead Betrayer. While a few of you are already beyond this and an Illidan kill is really not a big deal in the grand scheme of things I damn near devoted my life to this guild over the last 6 months, taking it literally from Kara to here and so I feel like I needed to say it to someone.

And they said we'd never make it, lol

Gratz Loki, good to hear all is going well for you.

I'm gonna jack your thread now.

Things were starting to look like they were going good for me, but recently has taken a turn for the worse, but looks to be ok now. First I was in a raiding guild that looked like it was doing well, and was going to go far. The it suddenly fell apart, and instead of try to rebuild, the leaders all went to one of the top raiding guilds on my server, and left us to fend for ourselves. There were a few of us that wanted to re-build, but noone serious enough to actually step-up and do it. Seeing as I already had my own vent server, I went ahead and did it. Funny thing is, the guild they went to broke up in about a week, and they saw us still doing things and were begging to be let in.

Things were looking good, we had gotten several people geared up through Kara and were recruiting when another guild approached us about a mergre. After a couple joint runs it seemed like a perfect fit. We needed all the classes they were lacking, and vice versa. We merged into thier guild and all was going well for 2 weeks. We made our first trek into Hyjal and all went pretty well. Then, all the sudden, my old co-guild leader raised some BS. Something about people not feeling welcome, or some other stupid crap. So he took most of my guild back out of the guild we merged with, and started spreading rumors about myself. However, the guild we merged with welcomed me, knew what he was saying was lies, and I stuck with them, since they were great people, and the other guild was being deceived by a guy who I have no more desire to deal with. He was saying things like it was my plan all along to just go into that guild, Ninja loot and leave. Also how crappy of a player I am.

Well, soon after, even with the dedicated players that stuck with me, we did not have enough people to keep raiding, and the guild decided to quit raiding. Several of the officers had been talking with another guild and they had room for some, but not all, though said all that wanted to come were welcome. I went, however, they already had like 6-7 locks, and with me, 3 others came. All-in-all, the guild had about 10-12 locks, all wanting to raid. Me being kind of quite, especially being in a new guild where I know almost noone, didn't get into raids for a whole week, while watching the same locks(affliction lock, in MH/BT with no points in Destro at all...that's right, no ISB, no Bane, and a Destro Lock with no Demonic Sacrifice, after looking at WWS reports, they put out 600-800 DPS each) get to go to raids, and being left out, I decided to just try my luck elsewhere.

I began talking to a guy I knew, he was in the first guild I had joined on this server, it was a levelling guild, but this guy was cool and we had stayed in touch a long time. He was in a guild that just so happened to have 2 open spots. One for a Lock with FR set for Leo(that I had, had gotten it around the time my guild merge happened), and one for a Hunter that knew how to MD(my g/f is probably one of the best Hunters there is).

Now I've only raided with these guys twice, but last night, we went to SSC and cleared Hydross, Morogrim, Tidewalker and Leo in about 2 hours. For me, it was my first kills on everything but Hydross. We had downed Lurker the night before. It may be too early to tell, but it seems as though these guys have what it takes to be serious. They are a little rougher than the raid leaders in my other guilds, but they set a no-nonsense fast pace and don't tolerate BS at all. They are trying to take the same 25 people night in and night out and I really like that. They seem to be able to do it quite well, something the other guilds I was in and my own guild, were never able to do.

Again, sorry to hi-jack your thread Loki, the title just seemed to fit, and I've been meaning to get this out there for a while. Hopefully, soon, I'll be caught up to you guys.

Kalecgos was down to like 60% by the end of the night, too, and there is another night worth of raiding left this week. Should be good times.
