Better I think, +20% shadow damage, and an additional 6% pending on your talents.

you can't 'both use it'. a target can have only one CoS/CoE/CoReclessness/CoWeakness/CoExaustion on it at a time. basically at the start of each raid, you and the other warlock /roll, whoever gets lowest has to use CoS while the other lock uses CoA. total raid dps will be increased

u can't have 2 CoS on the same target. The second CoS will overwrite the first one every if and only if the first CoS thrower does not have malediction (does that make sense?)(when u get the error message:"a stronger effect already exists on the target".. or smthing like that. If i remember correctly only CoA and Doom are the curses that can be more than 1 on the same target. But then again i could be wrong.

cheers

Edit: Damn Jenova.. don't u ever sleep? :p beat me by 20 sec :(

:D

hehe, i do, but not much. insomniac ftw. ya. to clear up a bit with what you said...

The first CoS will be overwritten by the 2nd CoS everytime EXCEPT for if the first CoS is casted by a lock with the malediction talent while the 2nd lock doesn't have the talent.

and yes, CoA and CoD are the only curses where you can have more than 1 of it on a target at any one time.

If you 2 warlocks are smart enough to talk to each other about builds then 1 person spec's malediction while the other does not, warlocks with malediction gets CoS, and depending on group setup:

Curse of Recklessness: Melee heavy group(tank/melee/melee/melee/offtank kinda group)
Curse of Elements: any Fire mages, Arcane mages, if you have 1 melee dps and 1 caster dps(fire or arcane) use Curse of Elements.

If it will make you feel better start putting shadows up then claim 10% of the other warlocks damage/DPS afterwards and add it on to yours. :)

freetrial, i think you mean CoE: any fire or frost mage... arcane mages benefit from CoS

Haha! That would be priceless if all of a sudden the other warlock went from top dps to second or third.

And I think your math is a little off:
100 normal dmg * 1.10 from CoS = 110 total dmg
You added 10 damage
10 dmg added / 110 totaldamage = 1 / 11 of his dmg, or 9.09%, not 10%
