I'm not a complete n00b, i know what and how to use the 1:1 shot rotation, as well as the macro. But this has been bugging me lately, what does this ratio of numbers mean? I have a few theories, but i have no idea what those damn numbers mean.

I know, silly question, i don't need to be explained how to use a rotation or anything, just what the damn numbers mean.

*Edit*
Oh wow, how did i miss this in the sticky?

Tells you everything a hunter needs to know. If I were a noob and just started the game today, reading that guide would instantly make me a pro. 3:2 Macros are the most effective / efficient dps in the game currently if you have a 3 second bow / gun / cb. faster weapons use 1:1 only go for slow attack speed bows.

3:2
#showtooltip Steady Shot
/cast !Auto Shot
/castrandom [target=pettarget, exists] Kill Command
/cast Steady Shot
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear();

3:2 Macro - This supposedly prevents Auto Shot pushback. It involves 2 macros, as listed below. Be sure to change the MultiBar location to the one you place your macro on.
#showtooltip Steady Shot
/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/cast !Auto Shot
/click [target=pettarget,exists] MultiBarBottomLeftButton12
/cast Steady Shot
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

#showtooltip Kill Command
/castsequence reset=4 Kill Command, !Auto Shot, !Auto Shot, !Auto Shot

3:2 With Lightning Breath (Using functionality from the above macros)
#showtooltip Steady Shot
/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/cast [target=pettarget,exists] Lightning Breath
/cast !Auto Shot
/click [target=pettarget,exists] MultiBarBottomLeftButton12
/cast Steady Shot
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

1:1 Macro
#showtooltip Steady Shot
/castsequence reset=3 !Auto Shot, Steady Shot
/castrandom [target=pettarget, exists] Kill Command
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear();

Not really...
The Ideal speed for a 3:2 rotation is about 2.0 after hastes. it also greatly depends on your haste etc.
With a 3.0 speed bow and no passive haste you end up with something like a 2.2 attackspeed wich i'm not sure if 3:2 would work.

rrrrrright... no.

It doest affect autosht at all, the macro is a workaround of the Kill Command lockup bug that can potentially lock autoshots out of your rotation.
It's a known bug an blizzard has said to work on it and they've tried to fix it.
Though i think it sill exists.

Alternatively you just add ", nodead" in he modifier part to do the same damn thing :)

I was hoping to hear from somebody on this board whether that problem was patched yet. I'll have to try putting my pet kill macro back into my shot rotation and test it out. The 'nodead' didn't fix the bug for me.
