Whew.. alrighty, I owe all my gearing and tanking experience to the stickies on this website first and foremost, and maintankadin secondly.

That said, I've been stuck in a bind here and there:

not the greatest gear there but here are some things i have concerning them.

Previous to using the neck from maiden and the trinket from moroes, I was using the SSO exalted neck and Sunward Shield for maintanking.

It has not been that much of an issue, the shield, with a +18 BR enchant on it not only makes me uncrushable but it gives me some added spell damage. The neck, procs very much, (which boosts dodge on boss fights) and also has a hefty amount of stam.

HOWEVER, now i have a nightbane shield, the neck from maiden, and moroe's trinket and i'm trying to see where they all fit in the eqaution of things.

you see my armory now. Most of the gear there is static. The only gear choices are in the following

Neck Slot: Barbed Choker of Discipline or
Shattered Sun Pendant of Resolve

SHield slot: Shield of Impenetrable Darkness /w +18 stam or Sunward Shield

TRinket slot 1 (with Commendation taking up other slot): Figurine - Empyrean Tortoise or Moroes' Lucky Pocketwatch or Darkmoon Card: Vengeance or Figurine - Crimson Serpent

Right now, those are the two slots where I have the most debating. All other slots i'm pretty set with the gear i have in them.

My major concern now is,
A) have i gemmed/enchanted properly? If not, what do I change?
B) beacuse I'm highly over the avoidance cap with certain gear choices on, does that mean i should be upgrading my libram?
C) what is the best combination for tanking bosses? (situational differences if any)
D) waht is the best combination for tanking trash? (highest spell damage with block rating and straight health)
E) What content should I be maintanking in?

I know its a lot of stuff to request, but I've been cramming numbers for the past day and a half trying to figure out the most optimal direction to go.

I played around with your setup on Warcrafter a little bit... Basically, the easiest things for you to do are to swap Dodge for Stamina. You have BIG Dodge numbers there that likely aren't close to needed in your progression. You're likely awefully mana starved. The gems are the first place to look.

There are other things you can do. The Dawnforged Defender offers more Dodge than the Defense on Nightbane's shield offers PURE avoidence, but it's a lot more difficult for you to swap out Defense for anything. Maybe if you ran with the Empyrean Tortise you could.. but meh.

Tis moot either way. You're in a good place overall. I'd be looking for ways to get more Stamina out of it though, particularly the gems and necklace.
