I just recently recieved 5/8 of the blessing cards and was wondering is this trinket great for mage raiding in the long run or the short run? My arrmory name is Alath, I am currerntly unable to link it but here is the effect of the crusade:

Each time you damage a target by spell damage you will receive the effect of crusade that increases spell damage by 8 for ten seconds stacking up to ten times.

Thank you in advance

depending on spec this trinket can either add a lot of dps or just be "meh"

In terms of theory craft, the trinket effect fully stacked up and kept up for extended periods will prove to be top drawer. I recall Theorycraft-o-matic having it at top with 3 min restacks.

This kinda means the spell that you use to stack the effect will be very crucial.

Scorch
For fire specs with little to no spell haste. This would be the idea spell, you need to stack scorch in your rotation anyway so it will be a natural part of your play. It would be bad if you still stick to scorchX5 then fireball before you get the effect stacked up since your fireball take twice as long to cast.

Arcane Blast
Should be as good as scorch if not better since its a short cast main nuke. Should be on par with frostbolt if you are using that as the main nuke.

Keeping the full stack up will be a test of skill and know-how. Fights with a lot of moving around and where the boss do not stay still enough will be challenging.

The trinket is fantastic. It also gets stacks off of ignite, I haven't noticed if it does just off of the fireball dot, but I know it does off of ignite.

I'm currently getting this on my mage (6/8) and I was thinking about my spell rotation. Because I haven't tested this yet I can't say for sure. My idea was to try it with 5x Icelance 5x Scorch ->Fireballing. Well since I just started thinking about it yesterday I don't know until I go and make some experiment today. Since I will start casting earlier while tank is getting agro I dont want to use any "big" spells. How about rank 1 Frostbolt? Is rank 1 arcanemissiles faster to cast than high ranked? These I don't know yet and and I need to check them when I go online.

For 12 days I am searching an 8 of blessings, the fair is upon us and the AH has none.
/cry
It is indeed much worth it.

Indeed. It is one of the few trinkets in game that would be an upgrade to me(that one, one out of BT, one out of Sunwell, iirc), but it's a minor upgrade(not to mention that it requires near perfect conditions to be an upgrade), so it's not worth the gold at this point. However, if you don't have some majorly awesome trinkets like mine, then it would indeed be worth getting.

By far and AMAZING trinket for a fire mage. 5x scorch...10 stacks usually because of the ignite. It doesn't stack off the fireball dot, or at least I have never seen it stack.

This is well worth it. Won't see much increase on trash, but for boss fights :) :) :)

Between that and the spellstrike set proc its the best investments of time and money I have made in spellfire :)

Got this trinket yesterday and it is amazing. In no time it is procced to 10 stack. Somehow on 3 scorches I was at 7 stacks??? Usually in a raid I'm somewhere around 4-6 on the dps but last night our guild did Mag for the first time and somehow I was #1. The guy that is always #1 was assigned a clicker but at least I moved up 3-4 spots. This was even changing some gear that decreased my fire dmg slightly, kept my crit at the same but more stam and int. I can see on bosses where alot of running will be needed that it may be difficult to keep the full 10 stack up, but it gets there real quick at least for a fire mage.

I just got mine tonight. Paid 400g for the 8 of blessings about a week ago (damn that was rare!) and spent the past week searching for the Ace. I definately overpaid (750g, ouch) but I wanted to make sure I snagged it while the faire was in town. I really wanted to complete the deck well before the faire came around, but I was too slow and I didn't want to wait an extra month for the next faire.

In trade chat I noticed far too many people trying to buy these cards, especially the Ace. I know it's extremely in demand on my server, so while 750g was indeed steep (I've seen it as low as 350) I'm just happy to have the thing finally.

Tomorrow I should test it in raid. Right now I have Icon and finally DC:C. My next goal is Hex Shrunken Head. Between Hex and DC:C, those will happily last me until Illidan =)
