Just a couple of gear questions relating to some pieces I have available or have just picked up for my Ret Pally set.

I'll try and keep the wall of text to a minimum for you guys

1.

I have been running with this:

Now i know i will lose a fair bit of intellect equipping it as well as crit and mp5 too but I gain a little strength/AP in return as well as armor and stamina. Opinions?

2.

I have this:

but can now buy this through hitting revered with SSO:

I will lose 15 strength (therefore around 37 AP with BoK buffed) by going with Legionfoe but weapon speed becomes greater (good for SoComm), and hit rating is increased too.

3.
I have been farming honor for the Gladiator's Greatsword but lately I have been thinking the honor and badges may be better spent on armor upgrades like the vindicators scaled boots and belt (already have the bracers) as well as the Gladiators Set too.

I plan on saving my heroic badges for this baby above which may be more reason to forget about Gladiator's Greatsword and just grind badges as prot as its pretty hard to get into any Pugs apart from h SP, h UB although these are probably the better ones to run as they are pretty straightforward (less wipes, time spent clearing them, easier to get groups together too).

Worth spending the 150 badges to get it or go with some sort of PvP weapon instead?

Just after some guidance / thoughts from you guys

Generally, your first two pieces are really either minor upgrades (for what you want to use them for) or sidegrades. Neither are major steps worth investing large amounts of time into. Luckily, they're both easily obtained and you either have them/are able to get them.

There are better options available, though some might take a little more focussed effort to get. Also, Legionfoe doesn't really give you any Hit Rating. It has Expertise Rating. Expertise is great for bad DPSers and gimick fights (and also for tanking) -- you know, all those situations where you're actually going to be beating on the FRONT side of a mob. Who really cares when you're beating on the BACK side of a mob though? (99% of the time).

Of course, that's entirely from a PvE perspective.

Yeah I'm not really planning on going into heavy PvP a la Arena. The only PvP I have been doing is in BGs. At the moment its just about trying to get out as much dps as I can. I know to fight behind the mob when possible (some of those raid mobs that have knockback effect can give you trouble though).

In Raids/Heroics this is my usual spell rotation given I cant consecrate due to CC and its not demon/undead:
Open with judging SoCrusader, firing up SoCommand, Crusader strike, Autoattack, Judgement + Recast SoComm, Autoattack then Crusader Strike again.

Heroic trash mobs I wouldn't bother with judging SoCrusader.

Any other gear upgrades that I can obtain pretty easily that I may have missed. Like I said I'm f=grinding honor for the Vindicators boots and belt, and farming HH marks for that Trinket from the PvP flag guy in Zanger
