Is there a way to keep my threat downFollow

ok so im a lvl 13 troll hunter and my pet is a raptor, and i cant get the monsters i attack to just attack my pet, i know it has to do with threat so i try to keep it down by only using auto shoot and no skills but the monsters still attack me. i even tryed letting my pet damage the monster a bit befor i attack, is there a tip or trick to keep threat down?

Pretty sure its a troll, but ill try and answer anyway. First and foremost: READ THE HUNTER FAQ AT THE TOP OF THE LIST!!! Then make sure you've trained youR pet growl. I'm guessing that you haven't. Read the info. Read all the post you can. Do the hunter community a favor and learn to play your class. Ignorance is not a valid excuse. No reason for a question like this to be posted when answers can be found if you'd just do a some reading.

Train your pet in growl, get yourself a threatmeter, such as Omen, and use it. Let your pet get the mob to 80-85% before you start in to let it build some threat. Even white damage crits from autoshots will boost your threat if the pet is not using growl and is not a decent loyalty rank.

Sidenote - if this is a troll attempt, it will be your last. If not, read the FAQs and our wiki and don't be afraid to ask questions, you won't learn if you don't ask.
