Is this your first character? -first on server? -an alt? -a twink?

If this is your first character on the server, I suggest a gather profession. The best choice here will depend mostly on the server. I actually chose Skinning, as it doesn't require tracking, and adds a steady bonus to cash flow when fighting beasts.

Mining can be a much better option, as well as herbalism - depending on the server.

If this isn't your first character but is your first on the server, and you feel confident with Enchanting it can be a really useful gathering skill - DE BoPs/BoEs/Tailored stuff. My server, however, makes it not the best option (some have told me their servers pay big bucks for DE'd Materials.) You could also chose this route if it's not the first character, as sending BoEs from other characters to DE is a decent use of the extra items.

If you're twinking the character, I suggest Engineering or Jewel Crafting. JC wont shine as much until you can get Outlands Rep, where Engineering can really shine pre-BC content. Both are huge pains in the *** to grind w/o having mining, though.

Me and a loser I know both rolled Warlocks.

He went tailoring/enchanting. I went herbalism/skinning.

He sucks. I do not.

He's level 37 and broke. I'm level 55 and have 750g.
