Good god, just no. Thunderclap threat is not, and never has been, a split value. The threat each mob takes is individual. Think about this logically. TC has no innate static threat value. The threat it creates is determined ENTIRELY by the damage dealt. Please tell me how, if threat is based on damage dealt, the game takes the damage you did and then splits the threat created among the mobs for this one super special ability? The answer is that it doesn't. You do 'X' amount of damage to mobs 'A', 'B' and 'C'. 'X' is different for each mob, and thus the resulting threat, 'Y' is completely independent of any of the mobs. The reason why we don't spam it is because we can't. It has a CD. Spreading misinformation is bad.

The above poster is absolutely correct. I'm not sure what I was smoking . . .

Maybe I was thinking about cleave . .. but most likely I was just too tired to have been posting :)

(if it wasn't, no one would do anything but spam TC! :)

At the first: What Fleetus said.

Second: That's exactly my point. I use TC every time it's CD'd, of there are 2 or more mobs un-CC'd in the pull. I did some calculations on this ages back, Xordon also. Some of the data might be outdated, but it should be largely intact.

Oh, and I though TC, like Swipe and Concecration, didn't affect CC'd mobs anymore (since patch forgot-its-name). Can anyone confirm?

It would be cool, but unfortunately no. It still definitly affects CCd mobs. I'm pretty sure consecration does as well, though I might be wrong. I recall one of our mages going brain dead the other day in BT and trying to sheep a mob over and over again on top of consecration, and it kept breaking. It might have been something else though, we AoE a lot of the pulls in there down to make things go more quickly. Seed or something may have been what broke it.
