Several times I've ran across this druid on my server. Everytime, same gear, same spec. So its not like he switches it up. Finally I decided to ask him what was up with his gear and spec. I have a 70 resto druid myself but was on my 27 rogue at the time. This is the reply I got: "TANKING STUFF MAN", "LOL UR LVL 20". Then a fellow who overheard the /say says "lots of ppl are doing that now, mixing resto and feral gear". Of course my reply was " Yeah, people who dont know any better." Now I can understand a piece here or there, but come on. Look at his gear. Look at his spec. Look at his gemming. /facepalm

Surely this guy doesn't tank Kara for his guild in this gear, and surely he doesnt heal it either. At least, he sure as hell wouldn't in my guild. Anyways, rant over now. Just needed to vent. Made me a little angry that he tried to flame me for asking about his gear. I didn't insult. I simply asked what was with the feral pieces. If he had said it makes his solo dailies easier, I could have lived with that answer. But to tell me what he had was tank gear. Nope, not gonna happen.

Here is his armory link.

He is resto specced and is wearing resto gear with a feral staff on armory.
His Violet Signet is the dps caster one. He is wearing a tanking necklace and his sockets are melee crit.

I wouldn't want this druid to do anything in my group , that's for sure.

Linkerman: do you mean PvP resto gear ? Then why not dragonhide, which has the same but also str and agi ? Sheesh, don't gimp yourself like that.

You should stay as far away from that druid as possible, that much concentrated "suck" could create a small black hole.

Now, it is possible you saw the Feral PvP blue or S1/S2 epic sets. These three sets have +healing on them, but the other stats make them decent filler pieces until you get gear more suited for PvE tanking.

I don't think you're wrong. He could be a badass with a joke set of gear for town and armory, who knows.

I hope that's the case, because his setup is kinda hard to believe. A level 70, resto spec, with that much purple, both PvP and PvE, has Staff of Beasts equipped, +120 armor on his cape, no enchants on on his chest or bracers, +7 resistance on his shoulders, +240 armor on gloves, and +4% mount speed on his boots. The @#$% boots are Zierhut's Lost Friggin Treads out of Karazhan, too. Not that I'D ever get some decent drops out of Kara, pfffft.

Edit: Probably not, just noticed his profession: tailoring. Oofah. Definitely a black hole of such there, avoid at all costs.

I think I have a +armor enchant on my Druid's cape as well.

It was free, though, and I couldn't really tell him to put a +agility enchant on it instead.

Actually, rep like that is quite common. Amongst botters. :)

I have a set of dps gear that I run around in solo,(resto spec'd) but I don't mix much healing stuff in with it if any.
Quite often when I join a group everyone is like wtf when they see less than 5000 mana and I'm the healer. Sometimes it's funny sometimes they are rather insert namecalling name here about it. Than I put my +heal duds on with over 10k mana and they are like whoa.
If they are putz's about it, group quit and move on.

I would stay far away from this person as well.. yikes it's kind of scary.
