Ok, so I just hit 63 with my rogue, and was looking through my skills bar when I saw distract, and realized I haven't used it much. What exactly is the use of distract? Plz reply.

Have you run any instances in outlands? Distract allows you to 'distract' a group of people within the AOE of the target, which makes them less likely to see you in stealth. It's used mainly when sapping, although it can be used to sneak past a mob that you don't need/feel like killing. It's can be used in PvP as well, but to a lesser extent.

Rule # 1 with Distract - Always distract the pat.
Rule # 2 with Distract - Distract them towards you.
Rule # 3 with Distract - Disregard any mobs that resist. It's a glitch.

If you follow the opposite of these rules, you'll be fine.

I always distract the pat for stuff like SP, when those lobsters are passing by and the tank or puller is being a moron with when to pull and wasting our time.

Or when a pull doesnt go right and a patrol is headed our way [i run out of battle and distract the pat before they get into aggro range. Saved my group from many wipes.

Distract is awesomely useful with stealth. When going in mines, through bunches of mobs wether in an instance or the world outside [in wow i mean]

Ya it doesnt work on players in combat. BUT freaking them out is fun when their just standign around. Or using it to turn round players running away. Cause making someone running away suddenly run at YOU, is hilarious.

And making mounted PVP'ers run off cliffs with a distract is so full of win!

Blind is actually fairly ridiculous in PvP. I can take someone totally out of a fight if they don't trinket my Blind with Distract.

Hasn't that been nerfed yet?

Saw it like three weeks ago, Blizz must be slacking.

I just used it in a BG last night (I think, couldn't really tell), so I doubt it.

I'm at work now so I can't watch the video. Care to explain (shortly) how you'd do that, I'm curious :)

Thanks,

Simply blind someone and distract them whilst blind is running.

They are then forced to move back and forth as if blinded for like 10 seconds extra.

Also works with other disorients, such as polymorph.

AHH, YOU'RE HAXXING. YOU'RE HAXXING MAI GAME!!
