Not being much into PVP, anyone have any ideas on what gear I can pick up fairly economically?

Farm 5 mans, there are cloth, leather, mail healing upgrades.

Look to push past 1100 healing for Kara. Your MP5 is VERY low, look to get it to 50-60 mp5 while casting, absolute minimum (even that is still low). There is an BOE shield that is an upgrade, mace off SH last boss or 1st boss in Mech. Also a guide to gear pre-kara stickied at the top of the forum.

Like bod said - check the sticky. It hasn't been updated for 2.4, but it gives you a good idea of what to get.

Honestly, the only things I would keep are the mace, gloves, cloak, and libram. Everything else should probably be replaced.

BoE = Bind on Equip (Does not become Soulbound until you actually equip it - you can sell it on the AH)

BoP = Bind on Pickup (Immediately becomes Soulbound the second you pick it up and have it in your inventory - can not be sold on AH).

The shield he is referring to is the Crystal Pulse Shield. You can go buy it on the AH. Usually sells for around 50g.

EDIT - On another note, your gear is not too bad. You're not ready for Kara, but you're moving in the right direction. My reocmmendation is to go run Shadow Labyrinth a few times. There are 2 good healing chest pieces that drop from there. Breastplate of Many Graces and Harness of teh Deep Currents. They make take quite a few runs to drop - if they ever do. However, once you get Revered reputation with Lower City, you can get an awesome trinket - Lower City Prayerbook. So it's a win win scenario regardless.

Aye Bodh is right there. Your MP5 is extremely low and that is due to all your pvp gear which generally has zero MP5. I would look to build a new set of gear to replace most of your pvp gear.

There is a Ring of Convalesence for HH rep that you can get which is pretty decent for the content you are going for now. THink it's on the sticky, that's good stuff in there btw, you should def read it :)

Don't forget to enchant all your gear as you go too. Looks like you need to level your enchanting profession while you're at it. Glyphs and Shoulder enchants, and Golden spellthread will add a good amount of healing bonus too.

Definitely agree with Cujolee on this one. I had initially been hesitant to enchant my gear at first, thinking that I was goint to replace it soon. Problem is, sometimes 'soon' doesn't happen soon enough! Enchants can make a huge difference and, thanks to Shattered Sun daily quests, you can get a couple of greens/day for raw materials for enchants (helps to have a friend or guildie who will disenchant for you). I do suggest you get either Major Intellect or Major Healing enchant on your Essence Focuser immediately.

As stated, check the stickie up top, use the 'find upgrade' through the armory. You're probably in better shape than I was at that point in the game, my gear was a mess! Oh, one last thing, don't get overly hung up on whether the gear is blue, green or purple. There are some out there who would take a quick look at you and say "He's all in blues, he's OK". Just remember it's the numbers, not the color of the gear that matters. When I started Kara and low-level heroics I still had 3 greens and no purples, but I had ~1100 +healing.

When I started on kara and heroics, I had no epics. What I did have was the best gear I could get from normal instances. This meant farming SL, SH, TK instances for all the gear I needed. I ran SL upwards of 30 times to get that Plate Chest which had the added bonus of getting exalted with Lower City for my Prayer Book.

In all Blues, I was running about 1300 +heal with a reasonable amount of crit and mp5 (I forget the figures).

I also had more balanced stats than a bunch of guys in pvp epics. The blues will get you into kara and allow you perform well in there.
