So for an enhancement shaman who does only PVE, what is a good amount of crit % to have, and how is it that you achieve that level?

I don't really want specific gear, rather, what stat boosts are you looking for to maximize your crit?

I am raiding SSC & TK currently, 2/5 T5 and some other SSC/TK gear mixed in. So I have about 30% crit unbuffed.

Stats for enhc dps is agility, crit rating & +str. Crit rating is preferred over agility though, but I use what I can get.

So, crit rating > agility and strength > attack power?

Is that right? I think I remember reading somewhere that +AP stacks better than strength or something. Maybe I just had a mild seizure and imagined things, though.

EJ says Str > Crit rating > AP. This is due to Blessing of Kings not affecting AP.

Search for ilune on Dreadmaul. Too lazy to link.

STR is preferable to AP, but due to the way Enhancement Shaman gear is itemized to be shared with Hunters, AP is much easier to get ahold of for us. In fact, outside of rings or trinkets or other things that can be shared with other melee DPS, STR is almost completely unavailable to us unless we want to wear leather. The same is true of AGI/crit, though to a lesser extent.

All in all, it really doesn't matter. BoK is the one and only thing that makes STR preferable to AP. Just get what you can get where you can get it.

To the OP: 25% crit is an easily obtainable value to start out with end-game. Assuming you made it all the way to the very end (we're talking Sunwell Plateau, here), you would probably be expecting to see a crit value between 30-40%. But 25-30% is more than enough to start out at 70 and early raid/heroic.
