im only neutral with lower city and for the last part of the quest you need to be honored to run the heroic sethekk halls im wondering what the fastest way to become honored with lower city is... thanks demonicdruid!

WoWWiki is my favorite for reputations.

I would wait to do the terrokar quests b/c you'll be able to get more rep running reg instances, and then doing the quests to push to revered/exalted quickly.

BTW, are you kara keyed yet? The SL run alone to get the key frag will get you a good portion of the rep I think.

That's true, but completing the quest line helps with Violet Eye rep, and I think you're getting Sha'Tar rep as well while you're handing in the fragments - along with a nice chunk of gold.

Agreed on the easy-ness of Kara key chain, I never understood why at least the last step wasn't a heroic. I'm gonna push to make that a minimum requirement for Kara even though my guild is really casual...we're having trouble progressing through Kara because (imho) we have too many barely-geared toons. A 70 without a flying mount?!? That's just laziness and inconveniences you all...no excuse for that, especially with how easy it is to farm gold with the new dailies.

Nah - it is an alt he has leveled and been using only for PvP so he didn't see the need to spend the money. He had good arena gear & we were short on healers so we ran him through Kara for a few weeks to get some decent mana regen gear seeing the arena gear lacks it. Until now it has been only a minor issue as usually there is no need for him to release as he is healing from range, if we do wipe we can rez him and every other instance the flying mount isn't needed.

He is getting one soon apparently (in fact he may have already it). If not i'll give a gentle nudge to hurry up - or suggest we might take other healers (now that we have them) over him to TK because it is too much hassle :)

Well, that would be wrong in regards to normal progression. Once you got the key, the ring quest line starts, taking you first to the smith (defeat Attumen), leading you to the library (defeat Curator), sending you downstairs (defeat Maiden), then up to get Medhiv's journal (defeat Aran) and THEN after getting the bone fragment from outside to heroic Sethekk Halls and heroic Shattered Halls for the reagents to finally summon Nightbane. Killing Prince is parallel to all this IIRC.

So there IS the need to do heroics, but it doesn't send you there until you had a chance to hone your skills and grab some gear in Kara first. With Curator being considered the Kara gear check in general, they maybe should have included a trip to an easier heroic before sending people up to Aran, and seeing the Consortium repair guy in there, there might have been plans at some point to include a trip to heroic Mana Tombs. (pure speculation of course)
