I found this quite amusing.Follow

Earlier today I noticed someone looking for some dps for heroic MgT. As all i was doing was standing around orgrimar on my hunter, I thought I'd tag along. So I ask for an invite and join the group, next the healer and tanked asked to see my gear, so i said sure met the tank and healer outside the bank. So they inspect me and i get a tell from both of them, saying "sorry your not geared enough." Well I found that strange as my hunter has a fair few pieces of T5 and the rest is mostly badge gear, and the s3 axe and gloves. Yet the funniest part is that they were both in mostly blues.

I seem to come across this problem quite alot on my hunter. I'm wondering is it just general stupidity or do people just think of any reason to shunt a hunter out of a group?

*Rant off*

People in general are stupid and brainless.
It's the trick to find the few that arent.

I've had that happen to my hunter before, and warrior for that matter. Its like they see the ONE blue you have which is the BM Hourglass and then you're automatically shunned. Only thing I can think of. Both characters of mine have all epics except Hourglass. (Warrior is in prot gear atm though ><)

I got a good chuckle out of telling my guild I just put 2 epic gems worth ~400g a pop in a 75g lvl 65 crafted blue :P

There were lots of WTF? and OMG's going round.
It was good. :)

So while you were right there having a conversation with them, why didn't you ask them your burning questions?

I can speculate all day why they punted you, but only you had the opportunity to get the answer straight from the source.

With the latest patch H MrT almost requires Mages and Rogues as the DPS classes to get past the second Boss. And there's nothing wrong with filling all the DPS with those two classes. It might be that they got /w from members of those classes and thought that they would make a more successful group. If so there was no reason to lie to you about their motivations, it's not like you'd be any less put off, but you never know unless you ask.

Vexallus is a pain without a macro. I use the following to shoot his adds as quickly as they pop and switch back to Vex when they're done.

/target pure energy
/cast Arcane Shot
/cast !Auto Shot
/target vexallus

I use the same macro to target the demon chains when they come up and switch back to Ilhoof in Kara also.

if you posted your armory, maybe the brain trust here will see what the tank/healer saw and can offer suggestions. If you really want some help, you came to the right place. If you just wanted to complain, then thats cool, gave me something to read rather than do *gasp* work.
