Yes, before you say anything, I have read the post on Finishers in PvP in Theo's guide.

My question is simple. How much am I gimping myself by not using SnD in a PvP setting. I know it is important in PvE, as your white damage makes up a good deal of your DPS, but I don't see how useful it would be in PvP.

I guess I just feel like I have better things to do with my combo points. Am I doing myself a disservice by not using 2 or 3 points for SnD? Should it only be used if nothing else (Evis, EA on non plate, KS, rupture, DT) is available / worth using?

Drop some knowledge.

Once upon a time I used recount during an arena session.

45-50% damage was still white damage.

I'd say very important to keep it up...

Well then, I guess I better get in the habit of keeping SnD up.

The more you know...

Personally, I almost always have SnD up from target switches, removing my combo points on a target to gouge another target, or using a finisher on one target, gouge another, then SnD that point off and switch back.

It's a fairly useful finisher, though I don't keep it up 100% of the time in PvP.
