Iam just wondering what sort of stats do pally tanks and healadins look for? Ive been checking out every last class's stat requirements and have come up with a LOT of varied information. Allakazam has always proved to be a reliable source of advice.

Iam also interested in ret requirements for raiding stats.

What would you say is the amount of these stats needed for the pally to be able to perform well in kara or gruul/mag?

All of this information is contained in the stickies at the top of the Paladin forum. There's one for each spec.

At this point 1100 min healing for holy pallies, though with badge gear, rep drops etc that have been added over the last year 1300 is easily attainable. 15% crit, 60+ mp5 would be nice goals to meet as well but not make or break.

Prot, you want over 12k health min. 490 def to be uncrittable. 200-300 spell damage for threat. Trash and most of the first couple bosses can be done without being uncrushable. By the time you are looking at Nightbane or Prince being uncrushable is mandatory.

+1 to Bodh's stats.

Though if you're offtanking or only tanking the first 4 bosses (up to but excluding Curator) 11k HP is WAY more than enough if you're uncrushable, which is 102.4 combined Miss, Block, Dodge, and Parry with Holy Shield up.

Gruul and Magtheridon take significant upgrades.

I would expect a tank to have a minimum of 14k unbuffed HP (and if you're doing it right all tanks will have a crack at a "Boss"). Definitly uncrushable, 490 defense, and to perform well they should have a ~200 Spell Damage weapon, which will then get buffed with Oil and the Major Spellpower enchant. More spell damage wouldn't hurt, though there's nothing god aweful wrong if you only have a ~120 Spell Damage weapon still. Magtheridon is basically infinite threat for a Paladin tank (demon) but Maulgar and Gruul give you a taste of tanking living bosses.

Mana longevity is a bigger issue for Gruul/Magtheridon healers. Another % or 2 crit would be gravy, but 100-120 mp5 while casting I'm sure should suffice considering there's probably 6 other healers.

How is your Prot/Holy gear? That Amani Punisher mace off Eagle Boss in ZA isn't a bad option and with it resetting twice a week its farmable. ZA is well designed 10 man, always have fun in there.

really want to go to ZA and my gear is good enough to OT there.

Problem is, i havent played with TFS in months and i doubt they'd take me lol.

Besides, i have the honor saved up for the gavel already and 20 marks isnt that bad.

Yes ive read the stickies, but ive found that consulting the members of allak is a better source of information. Plus there are some aspects of my original question not covered by the stickies, but which have been covered by the above who responded.

Thanks for the help everyone.
