Which racial do you think is better?Follow

Undead- curse of weakness (lowers attack power) and devouring plague(DoT, heals you, high mana cost)

or

troll- shadow guard (like shammy lightning shield only shadow) and hex of weakness (lowers ap (not as much as curse of weakness) and reduces healing done to target by 20%)

I'm lookin at rolling shadow and PvP mainly, thxs in advance

There's a discussion about this very thing going on in another thread right now, so you may want to read through the front page. I highly endorse Devouring Plague; it's the nicest thing since chocolate cupcakes, if less pretty.

ETA: as you mention PVP specifically, consider the racial-racials rather than just the racial-spells as well. Will of the Forsaken FTW.

They're both pretty equal for PvP.

WotF and Devouring Plague versus Berserking and Hex of Weakness.

I'd lean slightly towards Troll, having an undead priest myself.

Although I dont play horde, never have, the troll racials sound a bit better. Even though it doesn't stack with mortal strike, it sounds like a nice back-up for if you do not have an MS-warrior around, wich happens pretty often to me.

Edit: Totally forgot about berserking, wich speaks for itself, ofcourse.

i really like troll One thing i really like is shadow guard as a racial.

first as a shadow priest its benefits in pvp are obvious as at around 1k shadow damage it will hit for about 600-650 and also can proc blackout.

as disc/holy i find it incredibly usefull along with the power word shield damage to quickly bring a target down. its low mana and instant cast so it fits perfectly.

it also fires through power word shield so that is awsome.

Also hex of weakness makes a huge difference when dealing with druids and any type of survivalist build when a mortal strike warrior is not readily available.

and berserking for ultra fast mass dispels and heals.

i have never played undead so i would no know about them.. these are just some of the things i liked about the troll

For arena, shadow priests need to stick with rogues. That means your target will already have Wound Poison, so Hex of Weakness is fairly limited. I can see it's use, it just doesn't seem as life-saving to me compared to Devouring Plague (extra dmg/heal), Cannibalize (quick on-the-run healing if you really need it), and especially WotF (2-3 CC breaks are sooo helpful against CC-heavy teams life druid/lock/rogue).
