so from what i understand, some wild animals have various useful abilities, and if i tame them i can learn those abilities and teach them to my other pet. i havent learned beast lore yet, so i havent really checked out any animals besides my current pet, but my question is, is it worth it? are there really a lot of new abilities that i could learn for my pet?
once again, i appreciate all of your responses and paitence with my lack of knowledge

every possible spell that you can learn is well worth even if you never use it. It is pocket change to learn the spell.
Now for beast lore, yes it is good to use. Throw it on a beast and see if it has a different ability. Now keep in mind just because it has some ability doesn't mean that your pet can learn it. For instance, lets say you have a cat, and you see a boar with charge, you can't teach your cat to charge. Its all on petopia.

Go learn every available pet-trained ability. Eventually you'll want to try each sort of pet and will want to try out everything each type can utilize. Go visit Petopia to more easily find those pets with those abilities.
