WTF? is all i can say whenever i find myself fighting a resto druid. Its like its not even worth my time to attempt to fight this guy. And i dont mean just in arenas but 1v1s too.....i mean comon! im losing to an effing RESTO druid??!? makes me wanna kill myself. Even with aim shot on em at all times they can just HoT and pew pew starfire me down. How do you guys deal with resto druids w/o going OOM and pulling your hair out?

1v1 means nothing.
You have to outmana them, that's the only way of doing it. Mana aspect, keeping drain sting on, keep Aimed Shot on them to double their heal usage and so on. A good call is to keep them slowed, since many of them will automatically start shapechanging to lose the Wingclip. A Resto Druid won't too often have talents to facilitate cheap shapeshifts.
A Resto Druid with low/no mana will be a wet noodle. No damage, no self heal and so on. Basically, they are low dps casters with a healthpool the size of Russia. And they will still be nigh impossible to catch.
When I play my own Druid as resto, I am unkillable unless I get 1vs1'd in an Arena and even then I can make it last long enough to make the opponent headbutt his monitor in frustration.
Oh, and for the fella that said 1vs1 means nothing:
World PvP will always be the only real PvP. Arena and BG's are for WoWs football teams that have absolutely no individual achievement.

I was actually just in a AB and had an epic duel with a Resto Druid with me on top. Just gotta go all out, intimidate before they can heal, BW so they can't bear stun you, if you don't have those, silence them with that nifty shot you MM hunters love so much, and SS them so you can get in (hopefully) an easy Aimed Shot. Toss them some snakes to deal with, hopefully the MN poison and the constant damage will keep them from using anything but insta casts, and make sure you have Viper Sting on so they lose mana that much faster. It's a long and tiring process, but i find them a bit easier then any sort of Pally.

Just be polite with him and ask him if you can join in his 2v2 team.

World PvP will always be the only false PvP. Since there is no attempt by Blizzard to balance the classes against each other 1v1, and since gear levels can vary so wildly at any given level, the only way to even attempt to ensure that you aren't just loling because you beat down some poor fool who just cracked 70 while you're strutting in your T6 is to play Arenas.
And even that is a far cry from balanced, but it's the best thing going at this time.
And as for no individual achievement, I'm guessing that you've never looked at a WWS report and been proud that you placed high amongst the 18 other DPS, or had the least over healing, or in any other way shined on an individual level within a group of 25 people?
Lol i just wanna say that is not good for us to discuss how to kill a resto druid.
All we can do is to find a good resto and ask him to have a team together.
In conclusion.
Hunters cant kill any pvp healer in this game.
