Anyone been having problems with your pet holding agro lately? I've noticed doing my dailys that i usually have about 3 or 4 shots before i pull agro from my pet, unless i let him take out a good chunk of the mobs HP first.

Got new gear lately?

You learn to deal with it. Your pet just can't keep up with decent gear at 70.

Yeah. They also changed the mechanics of Growl. It used to scale with Pet's AP, but now scales with the hunter's AP.

I found it to be a slight buff to growl, but it's still not enough for my pet to hold aggro without waiting for a second growl.

I've begun to combat this by sending my pet in on one mob, and Misdirect another on to it. Of course, this can only be done every 2 minutes, but it still speeds things up- especially when you can throw enough threat onto your pet, that you can't pull it back off before the mob is dead. It gives a nice few extra productive seconds to let your pet build aggro on the mob it's actually attacking.

what, pets can hold aggro?
Even as BM it didnt do that for me.... regardless of wich pet i used.
As SV it's hopeless, 1 crit and the mob's running my way.
And crits arent too uncommon at ~34.5% unbuffed crit :P

just nuke the mob at max range, by the time it gets to you a wing clip followed by another arcane shot should finish it off. If not, you always have the mana-cheap feign death and then nuke it again.

Indeed, but with new gear comes also the ability to blast them down before they touch you. The only time I find it tough to solo is when they have adds :<

I really have no threat problems with my grinding pet(carrion bird. HOwever, my ravager and cat have no chance at holding threat. But with the bird i let it get a growl off then just use auto shot. Every once in a while I may get a few crits in a row, then I just hit intimidate and all is well again.
