OK, I was looking through Jacks thread and reading up on being a Tankadin. I have a couple of questions about this.

Reckoning seems good, yet only 1 build has it. If I plan on doing some solo play and 5 mans, is it a good talent?

How critical is Spell Warding? 4% seems nice, but the 2 points could be used elsewhere, maybe?

Ardent Defender, is it that good, ideally you don't want to be below 35% right, so is it more a a safety net?

Potential build

I was also thinking about taking even more points out of Ardent Defender and addin Imp Seal of the Crusader.

I suppose this is something I could play with, but I'd like some Vet opinions before I spend hundreds of gold on lots of respecs.

Thanks!

The logic behind not having reckoning is that the potential threat it adds is minor and the chance of a boss mob parrying you causing more damage to you may do more harm than good. 4% is, 4%, less damage is always better, hard not to make a case for it. As far as AD goes, you could take those points and put them into improved SOTC and improved judgement for additional threat.

How would parrying my attacks mean I take more damage, do most mobs have a riposte style ability that allows them to hit me harder after a parry?

That's part of it, but the more important argument is that it's never up in end-game when you avoid 50% of the time. An unused 5 points is just useless...

As for your questions Maara, every single one of them was addressed in my Sticky, there's a link to it in my Sig, under the Talents section.

So when would be a good time to lose it? Between normal and heroics? Making the jump to Kara and raids?

Thanks

If you're pushing 20% Dodge (which you will be by the time you can consistently get the first 4 bosses down in Kara and perform WELL in heroics) you're probably ready to drop Reckoning. I'd dare say even sooner, but that's certainly a "latest" estimate.
