First, let me say I cannot get 1k points a week. I get around 400-500 points a week.
Okay, I'm currently 3/5 s3 (Head,Legs,Gloves) and 1/5 s2 (Shoulders) and 1/5 s1 (Chest). I have 2000 arena points saved up, And I'm in a fix. Should I...
1. Buy my s3 chest, so I have 4/5 s3 and 1/5 s2.
2. Save point for when I get 1850 rating if I manage and buy the s3 MH
3. Save points for season 4.

I'd suggest save the points for S4. I also have around 2k arena points and waiting for S4 so I can buy S4 gloves and leggings. But seems like Blizzard is taking their time announcing when S4 will come out, curses...
ive read that they werent going to release s4 anytime soon because s3 still has some life left
so if you decide to spend it i suggest on the weapon being a rogue and all, but if you want to save it be my guest

Another reason might be is that only a few guilds have downed Kil'Jaeden. S4 will be released when more guilds are downing him, so there isn't a disparity in gear

I've heard that S4 wont be out for sometime as well. I would get more S3 gear. Im even debating picking up S2 OH and/or S2 MH.

the s3 chest is very solid. saving points depends on if you think your team can hit 1850 very soon. if not, get the chest. s4 wont be out for awhile, and still has yet to be announced. However, if you are using mediocre weapons already, then yes id prioritize getting an s2 weapon.

i dunno how many badges you have but you could also look into getting the badge fists, putting mongoose on them and using them to a get decent rating and maybe get S3 swords in S4.
I've gotten the fists and hope it'll boost my ratings enough so i can buy either S3 swords (probably, depends on how many arena points i have to spare that i'm saving now) or S4 swords (not bloody likely :S:S:S:S) in S4. I usually suck but i only started halfway S3 and am now also 4/5 S3 without weaps, so even sucky people have a good chance to get all the gear.
The fists will give me a good DPS boost compared to the S1 and S2 OH im using plus i have good PVE weaps with them.
It might be the choice for you. :)

I don't need to make myself look "half decent". Look at the posts that I've contributed to this forum, and then compare your gear to mine.
There are two rogues that post here (infrequently, I might add) that have better gear than me in each PvE and PvP; neither of the PvE rogues can match my PvP gear, and one of the PvP rogues can come pretty close to matching my PvE gear.
None have made the posts that I have, though they have made a fair amount of contributions to this forum.
It's great that you want to stick up for the retards that are telling a guy that has a hard time getting arena point to blow them all on swords that are almost two seasons old. Really, I commend everyone in this thread for the amount of sheer idiocy that's been thought of by telling this poor sod to buy S2 swords with arena points.
It's not only a bad idea, it's an AWFUL idea. Anyone buying S2 right now is a complete and utter half wit and a window-licker to boot.
