My friend plays shorter then i do (i play on and off for 3 years). He sometimes posts with this acc, but our guild says his gear is better then mine. I don't know much about mage gear, but i have mostly quest items and i can't tank heroics.. Is his gear enough for them?

Your gear is more than adequate for heroics, and probably on par for most T5 encounters.
I notice your a draenie, so you dont need as much spell hit, but try to get capped, whatever that is for you (if you arent already). New badge ring would probably be the best item in that department. Even the head enchant might be enough.
Also, your gear is way better than "quest items". The badge spellsword, spellfire set, a couple kara items. Should be easy enough to enchant the items that arent enchanted yet. Overall gear looks really good.

your equip lasts through SSC/TK
You already have gear from heroics/raids...did it feel like you belonged there? And 151-152 (round up or down I forget 151.3) is our hit cap.
Round up, you need 152 as a draenei.
