Death Knight GearFollow

So what kind of gear do you think Death knights will use? I find it highly unlikely that Blizzard will create a new type of armor for death Knights (to boost their runes or whatnot). Do you think it will be warrior gear while having a set amount of runes, or Paladin gear, where intellect influences the amount of runes they get? (Endgame gear will most likely add runes, but I am talking about the gear from levels 55-79)

What are your thoughts?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Death Knights are only going to get 6 runes which they inscribe into their weapons out of combat. These ruins just refresh in a certain amount of time, like 10 seconds or so.

As for stats, I don't think intellect will be a major factor for the Death Knights. I don't think Blizz wants to create another Retribution Paladin mistake like they did a long time ago.

Major stats that I think will influence a Death Knights build would be:
Str + Hit + Crit + Haste + Parry + Armor + Stam

Where as magical spells will scale with str and so.

Also with gear sets, I think that there would be a "Decrease the refresh rate of runes", Or "Increase the Duration of the Aura/Presence?" and things like that.

Spot on, I'd say. The greens that we've seen DK's starting with have had mostly Stam, strength and Agility.

I agree. Death Knights will just go with existing Warrior gear. I mean, their Rune system is more or less a combination of Rage and Energy, so I doubt any stats will affect their resource system like Spirit does on mana, etc..

On the talent "blood of ice water" It says it increases spell crit chance by 5%. Does "blood strike" count as a spell?

Here are my Ideas for PvP builds. I didn't like unholy :(


Control build: This is more focused on controlling your opponents in PvP much like a frost mage to give you the best effect vs. many ememies.

Basic:
Here I have the normal PvP build I came up with that maxes out the crit and damage of all your strike while providing you with different options. Dancing runeblade > Bloodstrike will be amazing.

Heres another build (frost): PVP 2

Level 55: The death knight comes out.
