I suggest reading the stickies. After that your talent build (hopefully) won't have 53 points in one tree anymore, and more than likely you'll be left with only specific questions that somebody might actually want to answer.

Don't expect anybody to do all of your homework.

To elaborate on the post above me, just in case you didn't know you're not limited to picking on talent tree and having to put all your points in there. Other builds, as featured in the Rogue FAQ have more efficient, more damaging builds that you might want to look at.

For other stuff, like pvp guides, gems and enchants to consider, Theophany has picked the best of the best and put them into one concise place - his journal, the rogue compendium.

The best route is to get into a decent guild - I don't know what your guild is like so don't think I'm saying you're not in one - and then do instances, build your rep with all the Outland factions (Aldor is supposed to be more rogue-ish than Scryers but take your pick).

Depending when the next expansion comes out, you might find yourself waltzing through normal instances and then go for heroics. Alternatively you'll be doing arena battles for better pvp gear. However all that's quite far in the future. You've got a lot of exploring to do because the world changes when you hit 70.

the information from the links will most likely tell you all you need to know,
my opinion is that you should pick which you like better PvP or PvE, then check for some different builds and pick one that suits you, then as they said, either work on your PvP or build rep with factions and do dailies to work your way up the Raiding ladder (Kara,Grulls,Zul'Aman etc.)
