Ok so we know that 2.6 and slower speed weapons are better for WF, but with dual wield, would I get a 2.6 or slower on both hands, or should one hand be faster?

Both as high an average damage range as possible (the slowest weapon possible of weapons of the same DPS). Windfury can proc off of either one, since you have it on both, and so you want to maximize the damage from a proc.

Also, Stormstrike works off of both weapons, so that also benefits from the harder-hitting weapons.

This also was on my mind when I got dual wield on my alt shammy. Can you make some other pointers also about weapon selection since even your good answer it's still not totally clear for me.
Here is my link (It's working again =D )
Armory
And a weapon that dropped (also in current armory)

It's a fast weapon so maybe not greatest choice. Do you have some specific weapons you think is worth getting from some instances (or other gear)? I do instances a lot if possible so always trying to look for nice upgrades.

Thanks all who help young shamans becoming raid offhealers =)

To OP: EJ states "A frequently asked question is how to wield weapons with differing speeds but similar DPS values, such as using a Rising Tide and a Syphon - is it better to put one weapon in the main/off hand over the other? Simulation results indicate that it makes little difference which hand the slower weapon is wielded in."

My opinon, you would want the highest dps weapon in your MH for the larger dmg burts from wf proc, in the same token, you would want the slower weapon in you OH so your mh would have more of a chance to proc WF. But, this all ties back to there is just not one answer to fit all.

For me, My MH is 2.7 speed, my OH is 2.8. Just for kicks I just ran the sim with my stats BUT, I changed the weapon speeds to see more of an impact, my results:

2.5 MH / 2.8 OH = 1214
2.8 MH / 2.5 OH = 1219
2.7 MH / 2.8 OH = 1230

Thus 5 dps difference, with the two extreams, shows there's not much difference, but also shows that the slower, the better if you can do it.

To Causa, an acceptable OH set up is to use a faster speed weapon with flametounge on it / wf MH, if you get a really great fast weapon, this can provide more dps than a crummy slow with wf, again, gotta test it on the sim.

End result, play with the sim to figure out whats best for you and whats available to ya

Oh how can I thank you enough. Ye I know that it doesnt make any huge difference but all improvements might spare me from corpse run. Also any faster progress will make it funnyer and also get me to 70 faster.

Dont want to bother my friends with elite Q's or anything, want to tear them down my self =)
