to solo what? 1-70? well every class can do that
5man normal and heroic instances? warlocks can do certain ones
25man raid bosses? again warlocks can do some
solo pvp? everyone can do this

so yeah... solo what?

I think that your question is possibly too narrow in scope. It should be "Is it worth while to solo?", and then the answer would be (in my humble opinion) "NO!". Soloing from 1-70 will not give you the skills to work with others in end0game scenarios. Likewise, PvP (battlegrounds and Arena) are group things, where you have to work with others. Deliberately going off by yourself and avoiding group dynamics will never make you a better player, let alone learn your class role in instances, battlegrounds, and/or Arena.

Yes it is possible to solo a Warlock and I am having a blast doing it. Like mikeboobies said tho make sure you get into some PUG's for instances and do some BG's along the way. Both are great for learning to use other spells than the few you rotate with during solo pve.

If you give it a go, try to get up to about 20 and see how you like it then.
