Just wondering how everybody else is handling this. Lockpicking is obviously a nice way to get around key requirements, but do you guys get your keys anyway?
The Shadow Lab key isn't that much of a deal since every rogue probably runs a fair share of Sethekk Halls and just ends up with the darn thing eventually. Arcatraz I think actually pays quite a bit of gold for getting the two pieces. Shattered Halls costs mats but gives rep.
Don't know what drives me to getting the keys regardless of 350 LP skill. Maybe the annoying failed attempt I'm getting occasionally.

The Shattered Halls quest chain to get the key has the added benefit of killing Fel Reaver. Always good for a laugh especially if you 3-man it. Tank + healer + dps is all it takes and the taste of revenge (for when he snuck up on you so many times) is sweet.

3-man? You can "solo" that big robot if you pull him to the mages near Thrallmar.
Back to topic: probably you'll do instances anyway, so you'll get all keys sooner or later.
I found it amusing when I suddenly got an unexpected key after finally doing a quest line which was in my quest log for ages.
Yeah, I did Sethekk Halls anyway so that got me the Shadow Labyrinth key. Then I thought the belt from the Arc key quest was pretty good (back when I didn't know any better) so I finished that one.
And yeah, soloing a Fel Reaver (with some NPC help) was totally worth doing the Shattered Halls key quest.

Apparently it's a good idea for a rogue to get the Shattered Halls key anyway. All other things aside, like rep and whatnot, the "Fel Embers" quest leading there as well has some nice shoulders as reward - which seem to be a fair substitute for those of us who just don't have any luck getting the drops from Sethekk or Durnholde.
