Ok for PvP (I use a similar build for 3v3 and 5v5 arena). But it really depends on what you are doing in PvP. BGs are far different from arena. And 2v2 has not much to do with 5v5. If you want to do really good in one of these areas you might want a different spec. If you just want to play a bit PvP, this spec is quite ok.

Not perfect for instances, but ok. You lack the really good CC of a SV hunter and you lack the damage output of a BM hunter. But normal instances (and heroics for that matter) are not that hard anymore.

Like Mul said, that build will work just fine for PvP and MAYBE instances. I am the last person here who will comment or give advice on PvP. I hate it, I loathe BG's and am not a huge fan of Arena, save what I need week to week. If you want to go with PvP for your toon, you will do just fine with that.

However if you want to mix it up http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cZVVbRVuReotIh0Rto will give you longer and better traps, a little bit more dps (3/3 Careful aim), and Deterence. Any hunter worth a **** should be able to effectively CC in an instance, chain trapping at least twice in a row if needed. This build will give you a slight edge in that aspect of gameplay.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=VxZVqbRVzhestrhhMz Here is the MM build from the FAQ, Even more DPS and PvE utility. Similar trapping prowess, with IAotH for better all-around DPS.

Get rid of combat experience. You're wasting two points to increase your stats by...like... nothing. I don't know what your base stats are, so I'll use myself as an example...

I have 600agi and 283int - Combat experience would give me an extra 12 Agi and 17 intellect. Big whoop.

Not worth the 2 points at all. They're better spent in something like Rapid Killing or GftT.

Okay thank you for your replies and what do you think about this one?

I'd also like to ask which is better for pet, stamina or armor?

At 70 I'd suggest resistances. I've found my pet to be either CC'd, ignored, or killed outright in a matter of a few seconds one way or the other. Resistances will at least help it keep from getting sheeped/feared/rooted/cycloned/forst nova'd/whateve else'd.

I'd say health > Resistance > Armor.

Agreed. Health 'mitigates' all damage types. Resistances mitigate whatever damage type is resisted.

But Armor is usually only worthwhile if your Pet is being swung at. Semi-recent changes both reduced the arc for Cleaves and other melee AOE attacks (2.1) and try to get your Pet to attack from behind its target (2.3). If after that your Pet is targeted for a melee attack then it will both die nearly instantly and the raid is in a lot of trouble. :)

Okay thank you
Now all I need to know is if the build I posted up earlier is good

What do you want to do? If it is PVE (Raiding instancing) Then there are at least 5 very good builds in Aethien's sticky at the top, and Mulgrin has the same ones (if I'm not mistaken) in his sticky as well.

If it is PVP then it depends on a lot more things. BGs and arenas are very different things, as are the different brackets in arenas, and the different team sizes. Different partners will pair differently too so we'd need more info to help you out. :)

Umm I think for BGs and maybe arena 2v2 >.<

Then you'd probably be better off with just the standard 41/20/0 BM build (See the sticky at the top of the forum). :)

I guess there's no other build recommended than BM D: thanks anyways

Here are more build suggestions. Or you could do a search on your own. Maybe check the first few pages of this forum. I bet "What is teh most Uberest PvP Build for Pwnage" has been asked a few times.

Your build in 2v2 arena sucks.cause you dont have the improved stings.
In arena hunters do drain mana games.
In Bgs hunters just burst dmg.

********* not everyone likes ten-minute games, so they find someone who can put out burst damage with them. Rogues, Retradins etc.
