More DPS or + Agi?Follow

I'm in a bit of a quandary. Can you guys help me out.

I currently have this gun. However I killed King B. last night and picked up this one. Do I keep the +5 agility or do I go for the slight upgrade in DPS.

Or does it really matter at lvl 43, almost all my gear is + agi/ stam anyway.

Thanks for any responses.

+5 agility is worth about 1 ranged attack power. 14 RAP is about 1 DPS. So 5 agility is worth 5/14 or 0.3 DPS. Ergo the 2 DPS in the new bow is better.

See ' Attribute conversions' a bit more than half way down the page:

That would have required a lot more calculation if their speeds had not been identical.

Also since your hunter is a night elf, there's no racial bonuses to consider.

Doesn't really matter at 43, just go with higher weapon DPS.

Sorry ItsaGaAs, not sure if you mis-typed something, but your information is slightly inaccurate.

1 Agility = 1 Attack Power, not 5 = 1 as stated.

It does equal about 0.4 (rounded) dps, but the Agility also provides some crit. Based on the linked Wowwiki table, at that level 5 Agility equals about 0.15% crit. Not sure if that equals the remaining 0.9 dps gap or not, but it's probably close.

At level 43 it probably doesn't make too much difference, but based on the 5 Agility on the Mithril Blunderbuss, I'd say it may be a better choice. Since both are bound to you, just equip them and see how it affects your tooltip dps. Probably the easiest thing to do.

It'll really only make a very tiny, insignificant difference at your level.

Speaking as someone who stacks agility, I would go for the weapon that has more DPS.

Ranged DPS is a hunter's bread and butter, and skimping on the weapon makes very little sense (again, at your level, not so important). if it was between 95 and 97 DPS, and 14 or 0 agility, THEN I'd go for the +agi, but in your case, it's not worth it.
