disc priest and ret pally problems...Follow

Hey, me and my arena partner (who happens to be a resto druid) are having some major problems with disc priest and ret paladins. We are both kinda undergeared, both sitting around 3/5 glad and farming honor for the full set. Ths aside, I can still put out some serious damage with my standard ShS build but I can't seem to kill off teams with disc priest (especially) or ret paladins. The priest NEVER goes oom and the DPS'er slowly takes down my druid. And if its a ret paladin, I just get repentananced (sp?) and they drop my druid. Is there anything im just not doing to beat them?

Edit: i dont think my sig is showing but heres my armory http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Skywall&n=Riddilinkid
try not to laugh to hard b/c i just dinged 70 a few weeks ago and still workin on gear upgrades, however i am VERY good at the rogue class

Im just gonna point out the obvious and say "gear is a big problem".

Chances are you are fighting a team in full PvP gear, with a bad comp and "meh" skills that are just beating you on gear alone.

My 2v2 with my warrior is me in 1/5 merc glad, vindicator's bracers, medallion and S1 mace. 4/5 blue PvP gear.

Pretty much every team i face in 1500s that beats us is full pvp geared who ( i like to think) just beat us because of gear or comp.

Kinda undergeared?

Bro, you're way undergeared.

Sounds honestly like your druid needs to L2P. He shouldn't be taken down by DPS classes and he should never go OOM. Star's Tears are your friend.

for the ret pally you need the jump. get a sap on the partner and force the ret pally into bubble, then if possible get a gouge on the ret pally's partner and retreat/restealth to reset the fight. with a ret pally cooldown management and timing is very important. druid needs to have roots ready, use feral charge to keep distance. snare the ret pally if possible, they have no movement enhancing abilities (like shs intercept blink etc) and using BoF will take off their current blessing and put BoF it on cooldown. cyclone is important. also note that cyclone and blind share the same diminishing returns.

for the priest, you dont have a lot of CC. typically me and my lock will try to dps the priest and CC the Dps.
your rogue druid though and i think you need to sap priest first, go after the DPS. get a cyclone on the priest then feral charge him then land a blind on him. if you cant get the DD down in that time then your in trouble.
if your doing the priest first you absolutely need to burn him down. an extra wraith or starfire from the druid might be key here. a pounce or feral charge will help too.

To actually answer the question, here's how to deal with dpriests, since ret pallies completely counter every single thing a druid can do:

1) LOS manaburns.

2) Use LOS to toss hots, then get back out of LOS. This is called "pillar humping". Druids are the ultimate at this, with travel form. He should be out of combat enough that he can drink any time he gets low on mana. With 5 things of water costing 2 honor, my priest usually carries well over 300-400 water into every arena match.

3) Cyclone rotations. Rotate Cyclone on both players. Usually the teams will be dpriest/rogue or dpriest/mage. Rotating Cyclone from one to the other will prevent healing, and as a shs rogue, you should be able to switch targets fairly easily.

4) Use your druid's mobility to bait the priest's teammate in to overextending. Druids and rogues are the most mobile classes in the game, use that to your advantage by drawing them away from their priest; make sure to keep the priest in combat with insect swarm/moonfire/throws so they can't mount. If you can draw the other class around a pillar, you should be able to burn them down fast enough that when the priest gets back in LOS that a quick Cyclone rotation on the priest will allow you to finish them off.

thanks for all the replies, and as i said my gear is a problem, however next tueday ill have my s3 gloves, and should have completed my full glad set and maybe a piece of vindictor or 2 in there. Gear aside, our team really just has problems with the ret pallies and disc priest for reasons already stated and not with any other team comps for some reason.
