Hey i'm trying to max out my frost damage in raid. I'm working on my fire set but for the moment if i switch fire i lost too much spell damage.
We are in Kara, Grull and starting ZA soon. I'm full frost for the moment and I'm doing well but if i go arcane/frost will i have a better damage output or i should stay full frost.

Its pretty standard to be arcane spliced untill you hit 800unbuffed spldmg. You were raid buffed, but still over it from what i saw.

There are several things that determine whether 10/0/51(or 17/0/44) or 40/0/21 is the better build for damage in raids. And most of it has to do with the elemental.
1)Control. Most importantly, how well you control the elemental.
2)Timing. Do you know when to pop the elemental for greatest survival(and thus, damage) potential? Can you consistently pop it when your trinket is up(thus maximising its damage)?
3)Self survival. Do you need the extra survivability because you often find yourself cratered? Dead mages deal no damage, y'know.
4)Winter's Chill bot. Do you have another mage putting up Winter's Chill for you?
Answer these for yourself, and you'll have the keys to deciding which is best for you.

As far as damage, all you will really get out of Arcane Frost vs Full Frost is increased crit damage.
Usually, doing 40/0/21, I'll crit for roughly 3500 to 5000. You really have to look at what ELSE arcane brings to the table, being a higher mana pool. Normal Frostbolt damage is usually negated between losing Arctic Winds/Empowered Frostbolt and gaining 25% more spell damage from Mind Mastery.

That is what I raid with, and I do a decent job with it. The big thing there vs a full frost build is that you gain another 50% damage to your crits.
