Still, i think the deep arcane will give most DPS. Seeing the Arcane barrage 3 sec cooldown (like a fireball cast) and damage, it will be the "arcane fireball" basically, so i think it'll get 100% spell damage.. And while waiting on CD, you scorch (1,5 sec global cooldown, 1,5 sec scorch, another AB).

Unfortunately, that's not at all how it works. If it did, Fireblast would be the most overpowered spell we have. It will get the same damage coefficient as Fireblast and Scorch, methinks.

With the partial exception of Pyroblast, every spell in the game (that I'm aware of?) calculates its damage bonus as damage*(base_cast_time / 3.5). Cooldown plays no role whatsoever.

EDIT: Oh, forgot there are a few penalties on that too. Ex. Frostbolt multiplies that by .95 for the snare.

Basically, yep. It's based on cast time(instants are considered 1.5 cast time) with penalties for added effects(such as frostbolt's inherent snare).

A friend of my guild posted on my guild's website (he seems to have some insider info or possibly a beta key) here is what he said:

Living bomb sucks *%#, Deep Freeze is meh, Arcane Barrage is the fun stuff!

One thing I have to say about arcane barrage....in my current gear it hits for about 1500-1700 and will crit for about 2700-3000 not to mention it can also proc netherwind presence. All in all arcane tree is pretty neato now

[edited for language... I bet you can't guess where...]

Tell him to get his *** to Dr Boom and parse us some DPS and longevity numbers for each build.
