This is me:

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Hydraxis&n=Kilabo

I will be grabbing the Isle badge pants by the weekend

I am torn between Nethercobra and Nethercleft for them

Anyone have any thoughts on pros and cons

(Also am I not thinking and should be going for another piece first?)

Thanks in advance (and thanks for all the great info in this forum)

Armory unavailable. You should be going for nethercobra unless you're SV, and even then I'd say nethercobra.

I'm assuming you are a raider, in which case you want the Nethercobra. You have plenty of Stamina as it is. Even the regular Cobrahide is better than the Nethercleft, imo.

The Nethercleft is mainly for tanks or PvP.

Three suggestions:

1 - Swap out the purple gem on your pants for a +Hit, +Agi, or +AP gem. The Dodge socket bonus is basically worthless, so ignore it and socket to get more dps.

2 - Consider swapping out the three purple gems on your Stalker's Helmet for 3x +8 Agi gems. You would lose the +8 AP socket bonus, but you would net +4 AP and 0.3% Crit from the 24 Agi you socket.

3 - Upgrade the scope on your rifle. You'll probably be keeping that gun for a while, so it's worth investing in a Stabilized Eternium Scope which would add 1.27% crit.

Thanks for the great advice

I have been meaning to go back over gems and the scope was an oversight--meant to upgrade that this weekend

Nethercobra it is

As far as the naked thing goes, we only do that on non-progression nights

Unless you really have your heart set on the pants, I would suggest waiting. Get 50 more badges and get the crossbow. The pants you have will work just fine. The crossbow will vastly improve your damage done.

I did what you are talking about doing, I got the pants first, now I wish I had saved 50 more for the crossbow. Saving 150 from scratch is teh suck.

But, Nethercobra ftw.

I would say given that he has the WSR to get the pants first actually. They are a really big upgrade from what he has.

The crossbow is going to be the biggest upgrade for pretty much every hunter that's in Kara/pre-kara gear.

According to Cheeky's spreadsheet, with a 41/20 BM build and a 3:2 shot rotation, getting the pants would raise her DPS by about 20. The crossbow would raise her DPS by over 40.

And cobra > cleft for any kind of hunter. Hands down.

Thanks again for all the info folks

Kinda bummed to have to wait for new shinies, (sitting at 95 after last nights Kara) but I trust you folks not to lead me astray

Did my regemming and scope last night--so I will go slow on the badges
