Hey, im a new rogue and just got my poisons. Now i just have some questions about them:

Im using 2 swords, i have a slow, hard hitting one in MH and a quicker one in the offhand. I also have 2 kinds of poisons. So which poison do I put on which weapon? Crippling on the mainhand and instand on the offhand or other way round?

Do i decide by thinking of the weapon speed or which hand its in?

those are all my questions for now. cheers

What is the situation? Are you talking about BGs or leveling or instances?

I am assuming you are leveling. I would just go with dual Instant while grinding, unless you are fighting mobs that run. I always put crip on my OH, since your MH is the one used for specials.

Crippling in the slow sword, instant on the faster weapon or wound when I'm in battlegrounds (WSG, AB for me) because I hate heals (and enemy healers usually) on flag carrier.
I don't use mind-numbing poison because kick/gouge is enough for me atm, usually the caster is down long before the second spell that is not instant.

PsiChi, I just rolled that rogue on a new server, so im going to lvl all the way to 70.

ok I'm getting conflicting advice here, so which should influence the decision: the speed of the sword or the hand its in? should i have poison x on MH and poison y on OH? or poison x on fast weap and poison y on slow weap?

I think the reason that PsiChi says to put it on your main for specials is so you get the poison procs along with your specials for extra damage. Crip does not stack so you don't need it to proc more than once per fight normally.

I think the reason the other poster says reverse is because with it on the faster hits you are getting procs more often with your white damage.

At 70, as Mutilate, I travel with Deadly mh, instant oh, or crip offhand if I am dealing with a high ganking zone (isle) or runners.

Until you get to stack enough hit rating or reach 70 and finally learn Shiv, put whatever has highest priority for you on your MH.

This has little to do with speed (though your MH specials are of course instant) but simply with your terribly high chance to miss with anything but your special attacks.

If you're going to solo ignore everyone else and put instant on both.
