Does anyone use it regularly? I think I need to get over my conservative shard-thinking and let it rip.
And SoC is fun to use on Galv or Drek when Horde's trying to defend, they're like insta-detonate AOEs that confuse and kill quickly. Or just mass plant them into a pushing offense and watch the fireworks.

Yes but we Allys prefer to be uncoordinated and disorganized, so we don't stand together as a group, you have to nuke us individually. =P

I use it too much and am always shard hungry because i dont wanna cast no ***** drain soul :( ...
And soc , man , when those allies try to take galv i just soc like 5-6 players if i get opportunity ,such a nice sight those big numbers and alot of them too yummy !!

Not on my feckin server you don't. :o(
Horde are lucky, you get pillars you can hide behind then run out and AoE fear the group, alliance has this thing where they build every wall smooth, no crevices. I still prefer hiding, waiting till our commander is at like 30-40% the kill the tank :), on my battlegroup, level 62-67 make up a majority of the players so they die quick

Yeah, that "Superior" Horde architecture which gives us huge gaps in our Frostwolf "Walls" and hills that let any Alliance mount-jump over said walls with ease, who needs the gate.
Meanwhile, the Alliance choose the unlucky method of erecting a 300 yd bridge flanked by a pair of towers lined with archers.

I play both Horde and Alliance in the BG's, the Battlegroup may determine which faction tends to be superior, but the architecture is pretty stacked against the Horde in alot of instances.

SoC + Shadowburn is a nice combo for helping the Seed detonate faster (in case people are moving away.) For me it depends on the situation, though. Seed is powerful, no doubt in that, but with power comes little control. For me, this makes Seed almost a logistical tool as opposed to any form of focused DPS.
While exploding on a group of 5-10 baddies produces sick Damage numbers, the amount of actual damage you're doing to each is relatively small, and relatively unthreatening. I'll use Seed to break up a group, and to send the healers into a scramble so that someone Focusfiring has a shot at their enemy.
If I really want to do damage with Seed, I'll lay it out on everyone and pray they don't move while it ticks away >=)
As for shards, the queue for AV has become so ridiculous as of late that I will Queue up and go farm Shards/Meat outside of Shat while I wait.
Keeps my shards high and my belly full~

I pump out Shadowburns mainly to get rid of all the shards that I have. I have so many cause I always try to SBolt + Soul Drain to get the 15% mana return. And NF SBolt + SBurn is always very sexy.

If you're affliciton, you should have a ton of shards anyways from using drain soul to gain mana, and if you're not, then you just use it as a finisher.
Regardless of what build I'm using I like to keep at least one full shard container in the bank, and I pull it out when I PvP or do raids so I have plenty for stones/soul fire/shadowburn, and just grab a few extra shards when I PvE to refill it.
