Well first off I would like to thank all of you that worked on the Pre Raid Gear sticky. I have two level 70 hunters and when they both hit 70, I got bored and started new toons. after reading that sticky I got excited,joined a great guild and have killed all but Nightbane once. I am having the time of my life.
Here is the thing, I collect about 6-10 badges a week and have a total of 73 right now. I just can not decide what armor or weapon piece to upgrade next. Please take a look at my toon and let me know which direction I should head with my armor please. I am a Surv. Hunter right now.

Get the new ring (Angelista's Revenge).
It is a huge upgrade and will last you until WotLK.
By the way. Regem your gear with +agi gems. Those AP crap is for the other specs, agi is king for us SV hunters :-)

1. replace all AP gems with Agi Gems. This is MOSTLY because you're SV, but for raiding, Agility gems are best for all specs.
2. put +12 agility on your boots. It's really cheap. It's just a few greater planar essences and a few arcane dusts. It may take a few minutes on the trade channel to find someone to do it, since it's a rare enchant, but it's worth it.
3. Angelista's revenge looks like it's the upgrade you need most as SV.
And lastly... I hate how all these people who have barely run Kara have Garona's Signet Ring. I've seen it drop twice, but passed to people who needed it more. I haven't seen it in months.

Ah, ya funny thing about that ring...i also got my T4 gloves in that fight. Best round of loot in my life. All other DPS were mages and warlocks. Our tank is ripped from head to toe already. Sorry 'bout that :P
Full cleared Kara for at least 3 months plus random pugs since then and I've never even seen it.
Got WSSR the first of the two times I've seen BBW though. :D

Got garona's without much trouble, got WSSR the first time i saw BBW, got most other drops I wanted from there besides Legacy.

I do like the looks of that ring, thanks. But one quick question, do you think that instead of spending the 60 badges on the ring I save up for this:

Seems like a better upgrade since we will be in Kara for at least another month or two getting everyone geared up. Thanks so much for all your input so far. I cant tell you how much I enjoy these posts.

So, lets compare those items:
Scaled Drakeskin Chestguard: 47agi, 102ap, 25haste rating, yellow socket. Lets gem it with 8 agi to get: 55agi, 102ap, 25haste rating
Beastmaster Curiass (your current item): 40agi, 48ap
So yes, to your blue breastplate this is a huge upgrade.
However there are quite some other breastplates around which are nice for you as well. E.g. lets have a look at Hauberk of the War Bringer: we gem it with 3x 8agi since you are survival specced: 48agi, 76ap, 20haste rating.
Obviously the badge breastplate still wins, but the margin is not that big anymore (still 7agi, 26ap, 5haste rating). If you want to have that thing, go for it, but there are a lot of places where you can upgrade your current breastplate.
SV hunters however have a really hard time to get decent rings. To my knowledge there are 5 very good ring for a SV hunter:
- Garona's signet from Kurator
- A ring from handing in Magtheridon's head
- The badge ring I recommended to you
- A Sunwell BOE craftable ring
- The Mount Hyjal reputation ring (which is great at exalted)
With the badge ring you get the 2nd best ring that is currently in the game (only beaten by the mount hyjal exalted ring or perhaps the Sunwell BOE craftable ring if you need the haste rating). That is the main reason I recommended it to you.
Lets compare your blue ring with the badge ring:
your ring has: 13hit, 21crit, 24ap
the badge ring has: 29agi, 58ap, 126armor ignore
While it hurts to lose the hit rating you will find enough good items with hit rating in Kara. Soon you'll be way above the hit cap and wonder where you can exchange it for better stats.
The 126armor ignore are roughly equal to the 24ap on your blue ring.
Thus you basically exchange 29agi and 58ap for your 21crit rating (and till your hit capped for 13hit).
That is also a huge upgrade and as I said before you won't get many upgrades for your blue ring (though there are some other blue rings which are a lot better for a SV hunter than your ring is).

Go with what Mulgrin says. The badge chest is nice, but not that nice. I'm still using the chest from heroic MGT, and I'm halfway through BT. That ring is VERY nice. I was very happy when I was finally able to spare the hit and wear it along with the exhaulted hyjal ring.
I was going to get the badge chest myself at first, but thought a little more about it and got the ring instead. There are a few good options for the chest, but not that many good options rings, especially for SV hunters.
