So I'm a BM spec'd hunter, trying to work on getting my gear ready for kara, and having a bit of a problem meeting some of the requirements. But that's not the question, question is I've got valanos longbow http://wow.allakhazam.com/search.html?q=valanos+longbow but have recently finally hit revered with SSO and was thinking that the truestrike crossbow would be a good upgrade http://wow.allakhazam.com/search.html?q=true+strike+crossbow Just wanted to make sure that I'm on the right path. If memory serves, it usually doesn't, 2.6 is the ideal speed for a BM weapon. With Serpents swiftness and no other haste, it should give you the perfect 1.8 attack speed. If you are running with minimal latency and a good macro you should be able to keep up a 1:1 ratio and do good damage. Combine that with the nice stats and you have a winning choice.
*Disclaimer* 2.6 may be too fast. let me double check.

brain cramp.....so valanos is good enough to get into kara and wait for the wolfslayer or the other ranged weapon whose name I can't remember, drops? Or go with the truestrike crossbow?
Truestrike is cheap and much better due to better speed.
It's one of the, if not the best ranged weapon pre-kara for hunters.
(Dos Santos is better, and technically the 150 badge Xbow is also better but i dont even want to think about grinding out 150 badges from heroics only....)

I entered Kara using my trusty Consortium Blaster :)
At that time the Truestrike Crossbow did not exist, and with my haste rating at the time (quiver only as a static) I thought the 2.4 speed of the Blaster was better than the 2.8 speed of Valanos' Longbow. I still might think that, but I'm not willing to do the math again to see what 2.4 resolves to after the quiver.
